Meet the new family car, Freez. My family likes to name our vehicles, and have named all of them so far. Here she is, a 2008 Honda CR-V LX:

We have a tendency to name our vehicles and the name fit, with the color being Glacier Blue Metallic:

And here she is with the rest of the family fleet, my 2007 Honda Ridgeline (Brawn), my Mom's beloved 1998 Toyota Camry (Sandstinger), and their new CR-V:

At the very least, the Camry should have been in the background and the Ridgeline should be huddled up next to the new CRV :D Enjoy your new Honda.

Nah, if I win the lottery (or get a substantially better paying job) the next Honda I want is a S2000 in red or silver with the hardtop and some custom work done. I'd have the hardtop secured, and the convertible parts removed to cut down on weight. I'd also do some engine upgrades to try to get 300HP or more out of it. Ah, dreams are a wonderful thing, aren't they?

I'd actually consider the Accord more if it had more engine and drivetrain options (diesel-hybrid, diesel, four and six cylinder engines, gas-hybrid) and also had AWD. I'm surprised that more cars don't have AWD, yet it is very common in Europe and other parts of the world.

Until I move to a very warm climate, I will not allow a vehicle in my household to have anything less than AWD... The accord in England has been available with a diesel for years. The US will have a version soon..

We don't need the AWD all the time out here, but it sure as hell helps when we have our horrendous monsoon storms. Plus, it is nice for me when I go off-road in my Ridgeline. My parent's bought the AWD LX CR-V because they wanted for when they visit my oldest brother in Colorado. They also liked all of the cargo space and the cargo flexibility.

I got to drive the CR-V quite a bit today, and it is fun to drive. It feels like a much smaller sports car and is quick but not lightning quick. I love how the backseat can slide back and forth a bit and be easily folded forward. I STILL want to unload my truck and put the necessary stuff into the CR-V before I go back to work on Sunday.

My sister bought a CRV almost identical to that one except silver (they didn't have the blue on the lot and couldn't get one they told her). My family now has an '00 Accord, '03 Civic, '04 Civic, '06 Ridgeline, '07 CRV. I'd say Honda's are a way of life...
