06 Ridge - trailer brakes in reverse

I know there was a problem with the harness causing trailer brakes to engage while backing up. I have that problem and was wondering if there is a simple solution I can perform without taking it to a dealer. It's a dealer installed hitch and harness. I did a search but a simple solution never jumped out at me.

The problem only applied to trailers with disc surge brakes on early (pre 08/24/05 build date) producition '06 RLs. The early harnesses did not provide power to the pin for revere lights. If you do not have disc brakes on your trailer, this is not the cause of your problem.
