Just got home with the Roo 183 and let me tell you it towed beautifully!!!
I held at about 65mph through the Kentucky and Tennessee hills with little effort. RPM's ran about 3,000 (usually settle in at 2000rpm without trailer.)
Got about 13-14mpg the whole trip. Not bad considering!
My set up:
1. Prodigy Brake Controller set at 4.6. (stopping was a breeze!)
2. Equalizer Hitch with minimal lift applied. (everyone strongly recommended this! I was glad to have it. --- Not really sure it is needed though.... may try a short tow without it in the near future.)
3. Premium Fuel as per recommendations from Honda.
Towed trailer for over 400 miles on Staurday and it was great!!! Truck tracked very straight and solid. Actually tracked better than some previous 1/2Ton Pickups I have owned. It was a very pleasant surprise. Even passed a few semis going up long hills with little strain on vehicle.
Wonderful vehicle!!! :D
The Ridge is a great little tow vehicle.
