There is a guy in West Palm that is turning in his lease. He has a free roof rack and a tow package for $100. Thought you guys in South Florida might want a heads up. You can find him on the other RL site. Ridgeline 2006.

Do think this a great deal? Looks like a new one is $250? How would it match up to 2007 RTL? Would the install be easy?

Thanks for the tip.

It's about $500 worth of used stuff for $100. Sounds like a deal to me. If he really means the "tow package" then make sure he gives you the fuses, relays, harnesses, drawbar, and ball.

Hitch is still available, Roof rack is gone. I live on the other coast, so I need to travel to get it. Looks like the 2006 and 2007 install is different.

Need trailer backup lights or surge brake releases? As I recall that is the diff. The old infamous 5th pin...

Hey, thanks for posting the info about my roof rack and trailer hitch -- sure got some good interest, I appreciate it. BTW they're both still available. I might just take the roof rack off and replace the trim pieces myself and then sell the roof rack at my leisure. I'm really pressed for time to get this thing inspected and returned. Thanks again!

If anyone is interested, this is what I could do.

For about $100 I could meet you somewhere near northern Palm Beach County, Florida and put this Honda Roof Rack on your Ridgeline (with your help, of course). All I want (other than the $100) are the molding pieces off your Ridgeline. When you install the rack you take the moldings off, cut them into three shorter pieces and put the three pieces back on. I have the three pieces already cut, so the installation on your Ridgeline would go like this --

Take off your roof moldings (easy enough to do by prying up on the front of them with a thin bladed screw driver) and remove the caps that cover the bolts (a needle nosed pliers works good for this).

Put the three pre-cut pieces of molding on your roof (from mine).

Set the pre-assembled roof rack on your roof and bolt it on with the hardware that I have.

That's it -- ten minutes and you're all set.

Sound good? Let me know. I have to turn this car in on Monday at the latest so I'd like to do it today or tomorrow (I know it's Easter, but I have to get this done!).

Thanks -- hope to hear from you.

SOLD!

I'm meeting up with one of our members and swapping the roof rack for his moldings and little cash to boot -- makes me feel good to help out a fellow Ridgeliner!
