Just placed my order!

I just placed my order for a Retrax cover. Randy caught me off guard by telling me the only way I'd get the $100 discount was to buy the Dyna-lock tailgate lock. :eek: That wasn't in my plan because I couldn't afford one!!!!! Then I did the math and realized it only cost me $4 more (than a non-ROC member)to go ahead and order it and get the cover, weather-seal and lock for $1,028. Being a member here sure does help!!!!!:D Now, I just hope this thing is as good as everyone says!!!!! :rolleyes:

Let us know what you think when it arrives. Are you installing it yourself? We are still happy with ours.

WHOA! I just bought a Retrax cover about 10 days ago, and I didn't get the tailgate lock. Didn't want it. But I did get the $100 discount. Something's fishy here. You shouldn't need to get the tailgate lock to get the $100 discount. Can't believe Randy told you that. It was never even mentioned when I got my Retrax. I'd sure raise hell about that....unless you really want the tailgate lock. And even if you did, looks like you were mislead. NOT good!

Sounds to me like he said he could offer the discount with the sale of the tailgate lock! Actually, I'm not complaining. Like I said, it was a pretty darned good deal in the long run. I know there are "Mickey Mouse" ways to make the tailgate lockable, but the Dyna-lock is the "right" way, I think. I'm not complaining. Just looking forward to getting both so I can get on with installing them.

Maybe there will only be one set of instructions for the RTS!:D

i got the same pricing for the honda cover, and it does not leak and works perfectly. I don't know but i always feel safer with honda oem's than other's

total cost was 921$

Chris, if you wanted the tailgate lock, then it looks like everything worked out perfectly for you. You'll enjoy both the Retrax cover AND the electric tailgate lock. And I strongly second the advice about reading the instructions over 2 or 3 times before jumping into the Retrax installation. My installation went very smoothly because I took my time and read everything carefully.

And just a note on the Retrax. I washed my truck two days ago, and purposely sprayed water (full force) all around the Retrax cover. When I finished washing the truck, there was only a VERY small amount of water in the corner of the bed. Very pleased with that.
