Just for fun I bought and exhaust tip at AutoZone for $19. It was chrome so I sanded it down with 240 grit then gave it 3 coats of low gloss black enamel/ceramic spray paint. I had to sawsall off the honda tailpipe a few inches to elimate the curve so it was just a straight pipe I could mount the tip on to. I did put some insulating heat reflective tape on the underside of the bumper worrying about the tip being so close to it. However, the tip has a fiberglass packed double wall so it really doesn't get too hot so I probably really didn't need to protect the bumper. I was able to leave my fingers on the tip without getting burned after a long drive. At any rate, it's just a silly little mod serving no purpose other than looking different.

I disagree. If you like it, it serves a great purpose. Nice job!

I think it looks great and it does serve a purpose if you like the look better than it was.

Here's a pic of Arizona Ridgeliner!'s modification to his - did dual exhaust.
(AZ Ridgeliner is one of the silent members so I figure I'd post it for him...).
He had it done at a local custom muffler shop. Not sure what it cost....

Hey meanmachine19,
Being that you are in Law Enforcement. Is it a bust to modify to a dual exhaust system?
