I installed the SX60 tweeter in the stock location and my question is what db gain to set it at. Should I use 0, -2 or -4? Anyone have the SX60 if so what setting did you use?
Thanks

A few choices:

1. Use a test CD and a sound level meter to match the tweeter and mid-bass levels.

2. Just do it by ear.

Do the above with all tone controls on the headunit in a flat position.

You can download test tones from here and burn them to CD:

Realm of Excursion (http://www.realmofexcursion.com/)

It's what I use.

I set my SX60 tweeters to -2, but i have them in the sails, a bit closer to my ears than the stock location. I also used the lesser of the two angled mount options to turn them forward. A co-worker who bought SX60s after listening to mine set his to -4. They are mounted by the mids lower in the door of a sports coupe. Not sure if you can gather any usefull information from that, but there it is.
