Need to know if there exists an aftermarket interface which will allow me to play my ipod through the factory installed audio system.
I know this horse has probably been beaten to death but any quick assistance with this would help me out and make me a happy man.:D
Recommendations and/or pros-cons would be appreciated as well.
Thanks a lot guys/gals.

The vultures will quickly beat you into submission and force you to use the search button to find the answer. :p
The quick answer is apparently that there are a couple of solutions to achieve your desired result.
One is the USAspec iPod adapter, the other is the PIE adapter. I'm sure there are alternatives, but these are the two most popular.

The vultures can bite me. :D thanks....i just looked over a couple threads and have constantly seen the PIE and the USAspec adaptors.
It appears that the PIE has a 255 limit songlist? How exactly does this work if you have your Ipod on shuffle? and you cannot use the steering wheel console controls.
The USAspec does not appear to have these limitations but you lose your CD player usage???
Does this sound about right????

You don't lose anything with the USAspec snd hon2 unit. XM and cd still work but I never use them - the 30gb Ipod plays for a year without a repeat.

You might also check out the Harmon Karden Drive & Play 2(can now get Bluetooth module and Sirius module for it), there is also the original Drive & Play.
Don't use wireless FM or wired FM the sound SUCKS.
Whatever system you choose go with a wired version!!!!
