Okay here is what I want to know & forgive me for my dumbness.
I know the search will take me to countless post & I have seen some of them & still kinda confused. My sisters wants to buy a MP3/IPOD we share the use of the Ridgeline. But I must say she always has me doing things for her with the Ridgeline like getting her new grill from LOWES yesterday. Anyway she want's to buy a MP3/IPOD for use with the AUXILARY IMPUT JACK thats on the RTL with NAV. I don't know anything about MP3/IPOD. She got one of them record players that you hookup to the computer. We have Albums & some 45 records from our childhood, teenage & adult years 1960s to 1990s. We wan't to convert some of this music to play in the Ridgeline without making a bunch of Cds.
So what would I need to buy to make it play thru the AUX Jack in the truc?
This would be something that just plugs into the jack as it is.
I don't know what kind of money she want's to spend on it but what adapters would I need ect. for basic hook -up.
She has all the stores that sell the the IPOD/MP3 like Best Buy, Target ,WalMart close to her.
Thanks FRED

Mp3 players come with instructions and software to help you manage your digital music. Spend some time learning how to use it so you do not become frustrated.

To easily connect an MP3 player to the AUX IN, you need a simple mini-to-mini stereo cable available most anywhere. You would plug one end into the headphone jack of the player and the other end into the AUX IN.

If you sister has a USB turntable, she probably knows how to convert records to digital. If not, I would recommend that you read the owner's manual for the turntable. It is very likely it also came with software to make the conversion process easier.

Also, before you ask, the aux jack will not charge the iPod nor will it allow the HU to control it. It is for audio only.

I had the old Albums & 45s at home so I took them down to her house. we got about 450+ Albums & I found 50 45s. I think there might be some more in the basement.
Most of this music still sounds great & she has already started the play list for the computer.
