I'm considering crossing the border in order to buy a U.S. Sirius radio with a lifetime subscription. In Canada as you know the CRTC forces sirius to carry a percentage of boring, useless and not entertaining canadian content. So I'm hoping to get all the american channels buy getting my radio from the US. My only concern is not having an american Credit Card or address. I'm hoping to get around the addy problem by buying a lifetime subscription.
Any thoughts?

I used my uncle's address in West Palm and I dont think there's any other way...
I get 2 more channels and paying $3/mth less and don't like the traffic updater is US only.
No help at all, sorry dude...

When I bought my truck in the US, it came with 3 months of XM. When it came time to renew, they called and told me they needed a US address, otherwise I'd have to go with XM Canada. I ended up giving them a US mailing address (either the dealerships or Menards, can't remember) and they accepted it. My account is set up on line and I've asked them to mark my account to phone or email me when the subscription is due to renew rather than mail anything out. Seems to be working, can't see why it wouldn't work for Serius.

My chum bought sirius before I did, and he used the address that he found on a box of winchester rifle shells. He pays with his canadian credit card. I went the us route too after buying a radio on ebay from the us, and using an address for a friend of mine. I pay with my canadian credit card with no problems. I have had mine for about 4 years.

Just pick any address out of a phone book or make one up. We used to do that & as long as your paying by visa no probs.

just added the magic box that converts xm to sirius on the factory nav. No problems, and still a canadian with a us subscription. Bought the box on ebay us.
Anyone have the US subscription to both Sirius and XM?
