Who is interested in a Florida ROC Meet?

Just trying to guage intrest for a Florida ROC meet. I was thinking in the Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota area.

When? I'll be vacationing in Kissimmee over Thanksgiving and the first week of December. I won't have my truck, most likely one of Dollar Rent A Car's finest mini vans but I wouldn't mind trying to squeeze in a get together while I'm in the 'hood... :D

I would be there if a meet was held, in orlando would be just fine. My little boy lives there, he is 31, and actualy not that little either.

I am down for a meet. Just bought my ridgeline last wensday. I work for the local Honda dealer here in Ocala, fl. and own nothing but Honda's.

Hmmm, Sarasota sounds like a fun place? LOL :D Siesta Key Beach is the number #2 beach in Florida rated by Dr. Beach.:)

I'm up for a Florida Meet. The Sarasota area would be great. There's a place south of Sarasota in Venice called Sharkeys that would be a great place for a Meet. Seafood resturaunt, fishing pier, beach and a big parking lot.

Great suggestion on a location. I forgot about Sharkeys. I was thinking of the saltydog on LBK. It's on the water, they allow dogs if someone wants to bring their dog, but the parking is tight. real tight.

It has been a while since we have had a ROC gathering in Florida. The Orlando area would be the most cental for everyone. Seminole Towne Mall in Sanford has a large parking area and restaurants. From this meeting maybe we could have something every couple months and rotate around to the other areas like south, west, north, and the panhandle. This was we could enjoy the whole state.

Might be interested here also...depends on date. Keep everyone informed please.;)

I would so look forward to a Florida meet. Sarasoda would be good for me as I live in Lee County (Cape Coral). I would also travel farther to meet other Ridgeline Owners.

Sounds like there is intrest. I was thinking Orlando might be the better meet spot for the first meet as it's the most central location. Now we need to come up with a date. How about labor day weekend? Some time like August 30th or 31st?

Does anyone live in Orlando who can coordinate a facility and stuff like that?

I think a cruise to Old Town that evening would be alot of fun too.

I will believe it when I see it (an actual Florida meet). I am in SE FL and will drive as far as Orlando to the north and Ft. Meyers/Tampa to the west. If I go east, I would end up in France; any further south and I would be in Castro country.

I wonder if the mods or adms of the site could tell us the number of Florida members? Wonder if there is a way to PM all the Florida members at once to communicate this?:confused: ;)

Do a search of threads of previous Fl Meetings. Write down their names and send a PM to them. As soon as you start typing their name the PM gives you a list of possible names in the database to choose from. Fairly easy to do.
A second way is to just list a place, date, and time for a meet and keep it alive by posting something daily on that thread so it says on the "Today Posts" or "New Posts". If something stays on that list for about a week it should reach 80% of the ROCs that view and live in FL.
