The plan is to meet at Smokey Bones in Kissimmee for lunch and to BS: Then cruise over to Old Town and check out the classic cars and hang out a bit and talk more about the Ridgelines. If anyone would like to add something else to the agenda please feel free to contact me so we can set it up.

I've got it penceiled in so I should make it. Keep this post alive at least every few days so other FL ROCs can view, as some don't search for meetings on a regular basis.:)

DAM!!!! I would like to come to this meet and check out all the ridgelines but I have a race that day. The XC season's first race is the same day. Please take pics.

Would someone be willing to create a flyer for us locally to print out and leave at the dealers or to hand to RL owners that we see on the street? I think that could potentially create a bigger turn out at the meet, not to mention potential future ROC members. Just a thougt. I would create it, but my creative skills are non-existant.

Here are a couple thoughts:

1. Do you think we could get more members if we plan it a little further out? Like in Oct? Give us two more months to plan/recruit. It looks like many of the meets are planned far in advance. It looks like AZ plans a year out? weather would be cooler also.
2. That weekend is labor day weekend and many members may already have plans?:confused:

Thank's. I'm in West Orlando. Its hard to get get meets going. I think its the group of car/truck. The Cadillac meets I went to were always small. And the Mazda meets I go to are large and small. Just depends on what is going on.

I love how SRQRIDGE has been post whoring in the other florida threads promoting this meet. :D Good Job!

I still don't know if I can attend. Right now it looks good. Love bugs are usually late Sept./early Oct I believe? They were not bad in the spring? Hope the same thing happens this fall? I work most every weekend, pulling a Sat is tough and it is so close to month end, which is another busy time for me.

I just realized that is Labor Day weekend and I will be in Daytona Beach with the family so I can't make this one. Also for FYI the cars don't start cruising in Old Town until 8:30 so you guys may have alot of time to kill unless you are just planning to browse them in the parking lot.

Bring car wash, spray wax, I also use a bug prespray and gel cleaner by rainx. The pretreatment works great. Also check out these links as well.

This really sucks after speaking with the better half. Labor day weekend is a no go for me too :mad: We had already promised the family a weekend at the fishcamp & boating.

Cool thing is I will be able to try out my VTM-4!

Thanks for the tips (re: lovebugs). I will be traveling into Hudson to see my Mom enough during our coming buggy month and will be cleaning my truck constantly....so any and all ideas out there are welcome! I try to make less trips out while "they" are out & about.

To DogBone: My preference, as I have better things to do with my time, than clean, clean, clean! Though I feel badly about not meeting with you all. Hope more owners attend, and that you have great time! Maybe I'll catch ya next meet....and you too Dan!

:) We will be in the I75-I4 CONVOY. Lovebugs and all. I will debut my CB and bug deflctor, but unfornately there are no toll booths to stop for the birds to eat the lovebugs off the front of my ridgeline. They did a prety good job on my old Town and Country in the past on trips to Ft. Laurdale for Princess cruse ships. Looks like I will just have to live with the little buggers.:o

Some of you other ROCs could check with your sales person and see if they will do the same or donate something with HONDA or RL on it?

For those of you that are in to different cars, there is a cars and coffee in Lake Mary and 8-30-2008 from 09-1100am. There is no telling what you will see there. Check out 6speedonline.com or orlandoautomotiveclub.com for photos of the last on 7-26-2008. I will be there for awhile before coming on to the ROC meet.

Just got my first used 06 ridge last night in a heated redeye haggle situation, but I feel I stuck it to the man. Wanted to say I wish I could make this meet but I have been a Gator alot longer than a ROCer. I wouldnt miss a season opener for the birth of my first born. Please take pics and keep us informed on the decision to do another soon.

What a neat bunch of ROC people. I got several hundred dollars of new ideas, chrome bumper strips, top racks look teriffic, and a new appriciation of honda blue. Also winning was nice, like the oil change. Honda key chains with "ridgeline" spelled out pretty well made the whole trip worthwhile, another very nice occurance, maybe quanity of ROC members was not nearly as important as the QUALITY.:D

:) Enjoyed meeting everyone. Food was good, but the company is what made it great.

Oddjob - it wasn't till I passed you at the I-95/US92 exit that it was you. I tried to call, but cell phone said that all circuits were busy. Thanks for the key fob.

Will be looking for the next ROC gathering.

My sister-in-law lives in the same town as oddjob, so the Wife is always ready to go to see her sister, That leaves me free to attend Florida Roc meets.

I see that it rained on you guys again this year.

We have our meet tomorrow in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Even it you left right now for the meet, it would be over before you got here.

onesickpsycho - the fog lights work great. I t drives some people crazy, they seem to think that they are bright lights so at times I get flashed to turn then down. I got then through Advance Auto and had them installed with a separate switch, so I can turn them on/off as I wish.
