Guy Owen 08-06-2008, 07:54 PM Best Prices on Original Honda Accessories?
Where are you finding them?
Such as...
Cloth Mats
Mud Flaps
Chrome Bumper Trim
Side Trim
Etcetera!
MarylandRidge 08-07-2008, 09:09 AM Hi,
Check out bernardiparts.com. I got body side protectors, bumper trims, etc etc. from them.
To get an idea of their prices visit H and A and CollegeHillsHonda.com as well so you can compare prices.Be careful with shipping prices coz it may negate the initial savings of qouted low prices.
Be careful adding accessories, it is very addictive when you see your Ridge morph from bland to "wooow"

Guy Owen 08-07-2008, 09:21 AM That's perfect! Just what I needed. I did review HandA last night. I know what you mean on the add-ons. My first PT ended up with $9,000 worth of hood scoops, body side kits, lowering springs, etc. Then they were worthless at Trade-In time.
I'm not going that far. I ordered the Bakflip Bed Cover yesterday. I wanted to add just a few things to dress it up -- but not luggage racks or anything. Maybe Side Steps or Running Boards. Possibly the bumper trim kit to add a little chrome bling.
Thanks for the input!
meanmachine19 08-07-2008, 11:00 AM I've used H & A, as well as Honda Automotive Parts (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/catdisplay.jsp). The latter has more actual parts as opposed to accessories, but they have accessories as well. ;)
H & A has been a long time sponsor of this site, and a contributor to many ROC meets, including Sedona IV (several gift certificates and other nice give-aways). FYI:D
Guy Owen 08-07-2008, 12:32 PM I'll give HandA a real chance. But I wanted some place to compare. Seems like their prices are good.
meanmachine19 08-08-2008, 09:10 AM Here are some other sites to compare with:
Bernardi Parts.com (http://www.bernardiparts.com/Departments/Accessories/Honda-Ridgeline.aspx)
Dealerfit.com (http://honda.dealerfit.com/store/honda-ridgeline-accessories-cat24_1196.php)
College Hills Honda (http://www.collegehillshonda.com/honda_ridgeline_accessories/06_08_electronics.htm)
Honda Acura World (http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=HR)
These sites are comparable to H & A. HondaAcuraWorld.com does offer free shipping, but their prices might be a little higher, so its a wash.
I am sure anyone on this site that has used H & A will agree the customer service is top notch. If something is wrong, the take care of it, right away. So you won't go wrong with H & A (http://www.handaaccessories.com/ridgeline.html):D
Look forward to seeing pics of your RL and their new accessories!
chuck401 08-08-2008, 10:54 AM You can also try Majestic Honda at "majestichonda.com" (no quotes).
eddiet 08-10-2008, 12:01 AM Planet Honda on ebay. I got my trailer hitch for 300, which was cheaper then H and A and the ebay guy is always willing to doing some dealing if you buy more then one thing. Just give him a call, his name is Kevin French (I think)
Guy Owen 08-10-2008, 07:05 AM I tried finding "PlanetHonda" on eBay, but came up short. No listings. No feedback. No storefront.
Guy Owen 08-10-2008, 07:32 AM I had to chuckle at this one. While checking out some of the suggestions, I even tried the Honda eStore, which pointed me to local Dealers. Wanting to test a price, I selected the In-Trunk Carpet.
Came up at $60 Dealer Price.
The funny part is -- $69 Installed.
Open Trunk.
Lay carpet in place.
"That'll be $9 more, please!"
I wonder if there's an additional Bag Disposal Fee?? :)

Guy Owen 08-10-2008, 11:28 AM OK. Thanks to one and all for the Replies.
I hope this continues onward.
As a Purchasing Agent in my real life, I couldn't stand not knowing. So I did what I do every day -- I prepared a spreadsheet and went through most all of the recommended sources that have been offered here.
Attached is my spreadsheet.
Use it at your own risk -- buying Accessories can get dangerously out-of-hand!
This is Excel 2003.
I also attached a PDF for those of you that do not have Excel.
If you want to maintain an updated list, I will need some help. Please confirm that your suggested Vendor is, in fact, beating the lowest source already listed.
Winner from my quick Accessories Survey?
Majestic Honda

Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/spaccessories.jsp?hidmodel=Ridgeline&hidyear=&hidtype=M&hidrm=y)
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING...
a) I have no affiliation with any of these Vendors.
b) I have no axe to grind about any of them. THERE IS A LOT TO BE SAID FOR THOSE DEALERS THAT HELP SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE -- so please give them your kind consideration. At the least, they may be willing to match your Low-Price find if they can confirm it on the Internet.
c) This was just an exercise on my part, but took several hours to complete.
d) I did not look up every price for every listed Accessory at every Dealer -- partly because a pattern seemed to be forming (if they were higher, they were higher on most everything), and -- quite frankly -- some of the websites are more difficult to pull info from.
I did run all prices (if I could find them) for...
MSRP -- because I needed a basis to start from
eBay -- because it is often believed to be the "cheapest" source
HandA -- because they support the ROC
HondaAutomotiveParts -- because they were less-costly on most items
The Yellow-Highlighted accessories...
Running Boards
Cloth Mats
Splash Guards
...were Priced with Shipping at ALL sources so you could at least get a general idea of how these prices compare. If someone wants to price all the "missing" items, I will fill in the rest of the spreadsheet.
I left a few columns blank on the far right so you can add your own Sources for comparison, if you wish.
e) HandA and HondaAutomotiveParts were two of the easiest to get fast answers from -- both include photos of every accessory; both were complete in their listings; both showed instantly what the Shipping and Handling would be without making you type in your Zip Code every single time, etc.
When I say "complete in their listings", I mean so far as I experienced. My list is only those Accessories I'm the most-interested to buy. Mostly exterior. This is NOT to say there are not viable, cheaper After-Market items out there. For instance, Wireless Back-Up Sensors can be had for $50, Delivered from sources on eBay (not the OEM version) -- and are garnering very good reviews from the Owners who have installed them.
f) The MSRP is as stated at Honda's website.
The Sales Tax is for my state, which is Maryland.
The Total next to that reflects only my expected pricing if I went to my local Dealer and received no discount. By comparing this, I can see if buying online and out-of-state is a better deal. It always is, to some degree. This is not to suggest that any of us should circumvent our State Laws that require us to declare anything we purchased out-of-state without also paying taxes upon those items (some do; most never seem to enforce this requirement). I mean, you're all doing that... right?... am I right?
g) This list is NOT sorted, except by Alphabetical Order for the Resellers.
XXX in a Part Number means a color choice must be selected during the purchasing process. This does not seem to affect that Vendor's stated pricing on those items.
At First Glance, I draw the following conclusions...
1) HondaAutomotiveParts seems to beat all others most of the time. Maybe not by a lot, in some cases. If I had time to run every single item at the other sources, this conclusion might be tempered a bit. Higher-ticket items seem to have the greatest savings there.
2) Their Pricing, however, is listed for 2006 and 2007 Ridgelines -- 2008 is not shown (it may vary, but one would think not since this is August already).
3) They also charge a Handling Fee, in addition to their Shipping Fee -- I included this fee in their stated Shipping Charges on the spreadsheet.
4) eBay is not a real bargain. Every price quoted seemed to be "Buy It Now" listings. The Chrome Side Steps were very low because this is an unfinished, ongoing auction (I'm sure they won't sell for that). If they are not "Buy It Now" items, you need to remember that "bargains" may be very fleeting.
If I've made any errors, I apologize. I type with one finger, hunt-and-peck -- so that may be one excuse. Looking at too many websites in a few hours is another. Talk about burn-out...
Good Luck in your Hunting!
eddiet 08-11-2008, 12:03 AM sorry, its not their screen name.
I know its a legit dealer cause I called it asking for a last minute addition. I know its located out in Colorado, but can't exactly recall where but its around the Denver area.
eBay My World - planet5111 (http://myworld.ebay.com/planet5111)
Guy Owen 08-11-2008, 06:56 AM Are you talking about PlanetHonda? I did find a "PlanetHonda" listed on eBay, but they had no postings listed, right now. And I found a "PlanetHonda" dealership -- may be the same people.
