I have a 2009 RTL w/nav in Sterling Gray Metallic and black leather(that looks more like gray leather)with optional grille, front brush trim, pinstripe, mudguards, wheel locks, and door edge guards. They have to install the brush trim and optional grille because they weren't in stock. Getting it done on Wednesday! It cost just under $33000 before taxes, tags, title, and fees for a total of 34955 OTD in Maryland. MSRP before taxes, tags, title, and fees (according to the Honda build-your-Ridgeline website) is $38000. Which would have been $40627 OTD in MD. That's a savings of $5000 off the invoice and almost $6000 when you include taxes. It definitely is more expensive than the `08s, but I definitely prefer the interior to the `08 and it does have the extras not standard on an `08. You could probably get an `08, outfit it with the options I have for around $30000-$32000 OTD.

I have never owned a truck before, though I have driven quite a few. I've only racked up 1000 miles, but it drives beautifully. Very smooth and handles very well. I do mostly highway driving and have averaged 19mpg. I am enjoying the voice-activated-everything and the bluetooth functionality is definitely nice! The backup camera is defintely a cool option and allows me to park the truck in places I would never have considered. In fact, the camera is one of the reasons I picked the `09 over the `08. I figured the cost of a vehicle with the camera would offset the cost of my insurance going up in the future. ;)

I'm also waiting on the trunk carpet, dividers, running boards, and air deflector that I purchased online. I could have saved more money on my truck (about $800) if I had felt comfortable installing the grille and front brush guard. There are a couple of websites that sell OEM parts for much better prices than buying from the dealer.

I LOVE my truck!!!! :D I did alot of research on the `08's and `09's before making my purchase and I know I made a great choice in buying the `09. I can say that if you don't need/want the extra options that come with the `09 and don't mind the interior of the `08, the `08's are a much better deal right now. Either way, it's a Honda, you can't go wrong! :p

HDGMedic...Welcome to the ROC and congrats on your new RL. I love that color as well. I will have to wait a few more years, when my '07 dies, until I get a new one. Knowing Honda's it may be quite a few years.

I'm out west near Frederick. Hope to see you on the road. Check out the Mid-Atlantic threads. We're trying to get a MD mini meet organized.

Anderson Honda inn Baltimore City at intersection of Howard and 25th. Ask for Laura Siltman. She's the internet sales manager. Apparently, internet sales prices are quoted much lower than floor sales people would ever dare go. :)

Thanks! I have been perusing the boards. Good stuff on here! Excellent resource for any questions one may have, that's for sure. I was wondering. What exactly happens at a meet, besides taking a gander at each other's trucks? I have seen folks travel a couple of states and I was wondering what they do.

Just went in for my A-1 service last Thursday (10-23-08), and saw a new '09 Ridgeline in "Bali Blue." Outstanding color! (It's a dark, metallic blue.) If this color was available when I bought my '08 Formal Black RL, I would definitely have gotten it. I'm a big fan of dark colors, and the Bali Blue is a great one. No idea what other colors have changed for '09, but at least the blue one is a nice choice.

Gents,

I’m in the market for a 2009 Ridgeline RTL with Nav and all the Bells and Whistles. What can one be had for??

What 5 off of MSRP is the most aggressive that a dealer will entertain??

It's dirty, but I'll take some pics tomorrow. I still have not installed the running boards yet. My wife has commented on how it would be easier to get in with the boards. Guess I better get on that.

Nothing changed on the structure in the front. Just the facias changed and those changes (Shape) are below the grill. The profile of the grill is basically the same as the 2006-2008 so that will not present an issue either.

I'm with BIGBad Ridgeline. I am in the process of purchasing an RTL 2009. We do a lot of off roading and camping. We sometimes take a trailer, but most times just throw a canoe on top of my Landcruiser. Does anyone on this site know if you can put a canoe on top of a Ridgeline. I have seen a ridgeline honda cargo bed racks on VanTech and wondered if anyone is familiar with them.

We have been comparing the Toyota Tacoma Access cab with the Ridgeline and have found that sizewise they are about the same, bigger inside on the ridgeline. Price on the ridgeline with everything on it compares with the Tacoma 4x4 fourdoor cab and the Tacoma is set up for the racks to carry a canoe on top.

Any thoughts on comparisons or use of the Ridgeline for camping?

Thanks;)

Also had a question about the Honda Navigation system. Any of you have any thoughts as to if it works well, is it software and can it be updated as new versions come out? Is it hardware that is there and you need to buy something new when it is old? I had a boat GPS and you could put in a new software chip when you were ready to get new maps and new functions. Is this how the auto gps works?
