Any of you NC guys ever been to this place; The Swag Country Inn (http://www.theswag.com/)
There was an article about it in the Travel Section of our Sunday morning paper. I was interested until I saw the prices!:eek: It seems to be located West of Waynesville and backs up to the Smoky Mountain National Park. The elevation of the inn and cabins is about 5.000'.

25YHO, I've traveled through Waynesville many times on my way to the NC mountains, but I've never seen or heard of the inn you mentioned. But I haven't really checked on places to stay in that area, since I'm usually headed somewhere pretty far West of Waynesville. Sure looks like a great place. But for those kinds of prices, you could almost buy your own mountain cabin!

My wife and her friends use to go there a lot in the 90's. But since we have been married, we have never made the trip. When we are visiting our son at Western Carolina University, this is were we stay:
::Balsam Mountain Inn:: Grand Old Country Inn :: north carolina mountain inns, blue ridge parkway, nc vacation resort, blue ridge country, historic inn, hotels, cabin rental (http://www.balsammountaininn.com/bminn/Welcome.aspx)
A little out of the way, but the food is great and, now get this, they have "liquor by the drink" in a otherwise dry country.
