Great week for the male of the house! I purchased a nice table saw, a cyclone rake, and a 2006 RTL. Life is good!

When going through the Ridgeline I line a 18" bar in the spare tire well. It can extend to about 24 - 26 inches and it has two hooks on the end. It could be an accessory for the truck or the former owner or dealer could have left it behind. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Welcome!
I can only guess it is the rod that connects to the Flux Capacitor which grabs the electrified line to make time travel possible.
Lucky you.

ps. I'm not sure what it is.

Thanks for your help! No it is not an accessory that comes with the truck, actually I believe it is "The Club" or some other anti-theft devive that goes around the brake peddle and the steering wheel to render the vehicle immobile. Does it have any type of lock or is there a place for a padlock? By the way welcome to the ROC, glad you had a Great week.

It's a question mark rod!

Seriously though... I'm stumped. I have no idea.

Have to agree with Davedad until I see more evidence!!

If there is a lock present on the device, I would guess it to be a theft deterrent device to lock your steering wheel and brake pedal together (as was mentioned by davedad).

I assume that it is most probably an alternative bike adaptor which fits some of the new bike frames and enables them to be transported in a vehicular bike rack.

It's a bar used to mount a woman's bike onto to a bike rack, the kind of rack that you install in a hitch receiver. The bar serves as the crossbar between the seat and the handlebars (since this is missing on a woman's bike), and this is what will actually make contact with the bike rack. Hope this helps.

It does not have a locking mechanism on it.

For the guys that said it was a bike frame adapter...GREAT CALL! I went to a couple of bike websites to confirm and you are dead on right.

Thanks.

Funny thing is that I could actually use one of these.

I am also really glad you guys steered me right so quickly. Tonight we could get a storm so I was quickly trying to rig up the flux capacitor to test out the other theories.

The RL is pretty smooth at 88 MPH, thank goodness.
