I recently purchased an RTX with XM Ready radio. I had installed a Sirius HONSC1 in my Accord and removed it before trading. Is there anyway getting around pulling the dash off to hook the Sirius unit up to the radio? The sales person told me that the wiring was already run for the XM, but from what I read it just sounds like the radio can control an XM unit. The truck is a week old so I am a little hesitant to tear the dash apart.
Thanks for any help.

Removing the dash cover takes 3 minutes. Don't be afraid of it. There are a ton of threads here on how to do it.

Hi,
The dash is easy to remove as well as the radio unit. You will need in addition to the HONSC1 you will also need the SC-C1 ($50.00). I hooked mine up and it works GREAT!! I Below is a link for the additional tuner you will need.
SiriusConnect Car-only Tuner Model SC-C1 Add SIRIUS satellite radio to your car stereo at Crutchfield.com (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-F7GkYfUg7N5/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=607scc1)
Hope this helps,
Cliff

Thanks for the replies. I am going to tackle this today and see. I have the HONSC1 and SC1 unit so I am good to go.

As a side note, I had a stereo guy install my sirius and he just put the antenna, with all the excess wiring wrapped up and tied in a ziplock bag, under the dash near the firewall and I've NEVER had a problem with reception.
