5S Dude 09-10-2008, 08:04 AM It looks nicely made but takes up valuable bed space IMHO.

It claims no drilling and easy to be taken off when not needed.
I ordered one and will let you guys know how it works.
I have two adult bikes and two kids bikes while do family biking. This one looks fit. No need to take off the front wheel.

No Drilling means easy to remove and therefor easy to steal! I prefer to have my bikes locked up. I don't know if you have seen my post http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23484 . It is more of a permanent solution but I ride allot and have allot of money in my bicycles.

It claims a lock cable is supplied too. We will see. You got me a little worried
SRQRIDGE 09-10-2008, 11:03 PM please keep us posted on this one. I am planning some trips to Key West, FL and other vacation areas, where bikes are a good way to get around. I go to KW a couple of times a year and I would like to bring my own bikes. Please keep us posted with pictures.:)

Ron, just teach me how to do a bike a tie down on our truck. Never actually tied down a bike before, i will usually haul my bike inside the cabin, in fear, I may have done the tying it down improper and see my bike tumbling down somewhere in the freeway.

I’ve tied down bikes the same way SheDevil had um strapped last weekend for the past 30 years without the use of any bed rack of any kind. However, for peace of mind while towing with the tailgate down it may be good for that.:D

If you don't take the front wheels off the tailgate won't close for sure on an adult bike. I have a thule bed rider and my back tire is against the tailgate when the front wheel is off. There's no way my gate would close with the front wheel on.

I did put two 26" bikes in with tailgate closed before -- swinging the front wheel 90 degree.
I received the bedrack yesterday and will put it on tomorrow. Nice package from outside -- haven't opened it yet.
Will upload some pictures.
Crawfish 09-13-2008, 04:54 PM Please see the attached pictures.
1. Package is good with fine quality.
2. Assembly takes about 10-20 minutes. Easy.
3. Need to cut the top plastic pad to fit into the corner of truck bed. See the red circle.
4. Once you secure the back wheel of the bike, you need to tie down the front wheel. Otherwise it will swing. Not a big deal.
5. You do have to leave the tailgate down.
My concern it that if I leave the rack in the truck, soon it will get rusted. But it does carry 4 bikes.

firefighter3666 09-15-2008, 10:16 PM Did you get a discount for the packaging misprint?

That could be my fault -- I rotated the first picture to show the bike on the packaging in the up right position.;)
It works very well for my needs. I would recommend it to everyone.

Thanks for posting those great photos. It turned out to be a very clean install. Being able to remove the rack and haul bikes with your tailgate closed is a plus too. Ride safe.
