Hi all! Been a while since I’ve been active (probs getting on from work and all). I’m going to see a used travel trailer tomorrow night (Wed) and would appreciate any opinions on the unit and advice when checking it out – this is my first! Also, what hardware will I need to get it home (already have the hitch)?

Here’s the info I’ve received from the guy:
1997 Trailmanor 2619 - $7950
Probs: Front bed light doesn’t work, one drapery track is cracked.
No A/C, has heat.
Has stove, oven, fridge (Dometic 3-way with fan?).
Has side awning.
He bought May 2008 and remodeled like new, upgraded to larger tire size, greased bearings, new battery, rear hitch receiver.
He used on 1 car-camping trip over the summer; wants to go back to an in-bed pickup camper for off road camping.

From the Trailmanor site for this year’s model:
Dry weight: 2673
Tongue weight: 351
Load capacity: 1350
Axels: 1
Grey water: 30 gal
Fresh water: 20 gal

Nadaguides.com with some of the info he gave me included:
Low Retail: $3920
Average Retail: $4750
Suggested List: $15673

Again, I’ve never shopped for a trailer, let alone a used one, so I don’t really know what to look for when inspecting. Around here, it seems used Trailmanors don’t come up very often and don’t last long; don’t know how close to his price I shoot for.

Thanks in advance for what I know will be awesome info! Tim

Check me if I'm wrong here but he wants $3,200 over the NADA average retail for a 11 year old model without A/C?
Prices have been falling fast over the last 6 months due to gas prices so I'd factor that in.
You want to make sure the refrigerator works in each mode and that the power converter works for battery maintenance.
Good luck, the old fisherman story comes to mind....The 2 happiest days in a mans life are the day he buys a boat and the day he sells the boat.

Outfitter - thanks for the tips! I feel the same way about the price and am wondering if I'm missing something on the nagaguides site. Guess we'll see tomorrow...
