: Ridgeline Spotting!!there Here!!!!!!!!
Fast600 02-24-2005, 12:33 PM HEY GUYS AND GALS! I SWORE I WOULD BE THE FIRST ONE IN NEW YORK WITH A RIDGELINE BUT IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE BEAT ME TO THE PUNCH!
I JUST SPOTTED A SILVER RTL MODEL ON 42ND STREET! AND IT WASNT DEALER PLATED.
I hate to say this but I wasn't that impressed. Dont get me wrong I like the way it looked but it didnt really stick out in the crowd to much. But i still want it. Its a very functional vehicle.
I cant wait to see it in black though! That will be the ultimate determing factor! Wait until i put those 20's on the truck!
1manparty 02-24-2005, 12:40 PM Ha, Ha, cool. I keep driving by the local Honda dealer hoping that they have come in...soon...I hope.
nwdiver 02-24-2005, 12:55 PM It's a good thing it doesn't stick out, Fast600, they'll be less likely to be stolen. When I lived in NYC (Brooklyn) Honda's were the #1 stolen vehicle. A guy I work with just came back from California and he said he saw a few of them on the road. Go figure.
Solo2EG 02-24-2005, 05:15 PM I see hundreds of them every day!... LOL Gotta tell you, it looks sweet with the roof bars and running boards and stuff.

ya, ya, ya... Laugh it up funny boy :) Man, called all my local dealers and they are all getting like 2 of them each, one of which is a demo. I got a bad feeling the prices are going to be jacked way up in my area. No way I'll ever pay MSRP for a car. Guess I'll have to start calling dealers in Nevada if things get bad.
hagerswami 02-24-2005, 11:18 PM Hopefully, today or Monday will be the day. Dealer said I have dibs on the first RTS, since color is unimportant. He did say it looked like the red one would beat the blue one here. Talked to one of the salesmen that went to the Ride and Drive in D.C. area and he said he was pleased with the truck. Said he went in with an open mind (he owns a Silverado and his son has a Frontier). He said it was a little bigger than the pics indicate and it sits a little higher than he anticipated. Anyway, now that you guys have seen them on the street, can't help but feel it's delivery is just around the corner. ;)
I haven't seen one yet here on the Space Coast of Florida. My salesman promised to call me once they get one at theie dealership so I could come in and test drive it.
Ridge 02-25-2005, 02:39 PM Ok everybody...Lets remember to repeat the "My!,.... that's an ugly truck" mantra to the dealer, and act very apathetic. :D ......I'm just trying to help you guys out. I can feel the urge to pounce on these trucks at mark up through my computer monitor. Yep....it's warm, must be the urge. :)

I understand your reasoning, but I've been buying vehicles for over 40 years and have made my share of great buys and certainly my share of really dumb buys. I will never pay more than MSRP, but I have been known to pay MSRP. I've alreay made my deal and it's MSRP, but I did get an ok trade on my XL-7 (12,500, which is 2,000 more than bluebook). I just couldn't wait, this is the most excited I've gotten over any vehicle since my first Harley in 67'. The only thing keeping me contained is, if my wife knows how excited I am, SHE MIGHT GET THE IDEA SHE LIKES TRUCKS, Yikes!!!!!!!!!....that would not be good. :D

.....and are you guys being reasonably sane about your pricing, or are you putting the screws to people?
Also kind of odd for a salesman to be trolling for customers on the net, considering it's such a hot, hot truck. I would think they would all be presold.

Vogon Poet 04-08-2005, 02:25 PM I got my Black Ridge RTS last Wednesday, having never seen one outside of a dealership before. Today, I went back to the gym for the first time in over 2 weeks, and low and behold, parked right next to an equally beautiful Ridgeline. I didn't get a look inside to see if it was RTS, or RTL, but it's good to know that I have good taste in trucks as well as Gym's. ;)
shovelhd 04-08-2005, 03:49 PM I saw a black RT the day I picked mine up. It was probably from the same dealer as they sold one a few days before. On my trip to TN for the NASCAR races I saw three RL's of various trim - black, red, white. I had a rented Volvo so there was no use waving.
milehigh 04-08-2005, 04:12 PM I have yet to see another Ridgeline on the road here in the Denver metro area. A friend says he was behind one the other day, but the only one I've seen on the road is mine. The dealer told me he was pretty sure mine was the first RedRock Pearl RTL on the road in Denver (I picked it up March 22).
Are the other Mile High Ridgelines out there I just haven't seen?

I can't speak for Denver but I can say that I have yet to see another Ridgeline on the streets around Richmond, VA. I've owned mine for 3 weeks. By the way, was curious to see how your RL fared during the weekend snow storm. Classic "up-slop" as we used to call it when I lived there.
Dnucci 04-11-2005, 01:17 PM I drove mine off the lot just over 6 weeks ago. I have not seen another one on the road yet. Live in South Jersey and drive ~30 miles each way to work, mostly highway.
Must admit, I'm surprised to not see others.
mayfielh 04-11-2005, 01:25 PM I have had mine for 1 month today and have only seen one other on the road and it was 100 miles from my house. Yet my local dealer has had probably 10 different RLs come and go off of the lot in the last month.
My 3 year old daughter saw one at a gas station (some one else loosing $50 to the gas goblins) and made sure to tell me that she saw a truck like dad's but it was a silver one, my RL is green.
I'm curious where they are all hiding. Come out and play.
I saw my first one 'in the wild' yesterday as I was getting out of my car in the hospital parking garage. It was in the surface lot below. A nice looking red one.
frbear 04-13-2005, 08:47 PM Haven't seen any RL's around the MI area except the one bought by an acquaintance.
Saw another one here in Melbourne, FL. A silver with the roof rack. So far that is just 2 that I have seen outside of dealer stock.
Long Gone 04-16-2005, 07:05 AM Saw my second one in the Cleveland area yesterday near my dealer. It was the first blue one I had seen in person. Wow...was she ever pretty. :p
Anyone on here have a Blue 'Line in the Cleveland area that was in Euclid yesterday, tax day?????
J.C. :)

Denvrfan - the Ridgeline was impressive in the sloppy snow. I intentionally plowed through as deep and as much snow as possible to see how she'd handle (had a friend with me as well) and was extremely pleased. Never once felt there was any loss of control, slippage or anything. I love this truck more each day.

Good to hear it did so well. Of course, here in Central Virginia, it is unlikely that we'll see that much snow in an entire season, let alone a single storm. We had something like 6 inches this past winter- it fell in 1/2 inch increments over a 4 month season.

My Ridge is a month old today- I drove it all around Richmond today- bright sunny spring day with spring blooms everywhere. STILL looking for another RL on the streets of Central Virginia. However, did see a couple of orange Mazda 6's, a purple Chevy SSR and an Escalade with spinner wheels. And I thought I was the only person driving an unusual looking vehicle.

I picked my RL up in the Denver area, the day before the blizzard dropped 10 inches of snow for me to play in with my new truck!! Then I spent a week playing in the mountains and getting it back here to southern California.
shovelhd 04-19-2005, 06:37 AM I spotted a second Ridgeline parked in front of a Realtor's office yesterday.
