Interested in pure SQ. I listen to Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Rock - In that order. I want to use my factory Navi, looking for component and amp suggestions. I was looking at Boston SX60's in front doors, stock rear speakers, some kind of clean amp, what else? I would like to do a sub later down the road. Budget $1000. for the front speakers and amp and whatever else I need only. Do I get a 4 channel amp, use the front two for components, rear two bridged for future amp. Or, 4 channel amp 2 channels for tweets, 2 for mids, install a sub amp later. For the sub a small 8"? (in the future) SQ and clean is the name. Can anyone narrow down the choices. I have listened to very few speakers but am looking for a slightly warm sound.

You captured some good choices. Focus on the front speakers. Bi-amping the speakers requires running additional speaker wire into the doors - kinda difficult on the driver's side.
Running a 4 ch amp with 2 channels to the front and bridged to the sub will work but you will need to be sure your amp can handle a speaker level input. You may need line converters.
For a SQ system I think you will be unhappy with the factory sub. It is "loose" sounding and runs full range. It will pollute the mid-bass.
I suggest an underseat sub with a 10 inch woofer in a sealed box.
My system (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6783) was built with similar SQ goals although I replaced the headunit.

How good is the JL Audio Stealthbox in the Ridgeline?
I love mine in the CR-V.

I have always had stealth boxes in my cars/trucks but i got a Q Form dual 10 box and it sounds very good. I stuffed it with a pair of JL 10w1s

I have nothing but good things to say about the SX60s in my ridge. I followed hoffs and others advice here on the forums about a year ago and have been completely happy. A sealed single 10 under the back seat is the way to go. jazz sounds crystal and tight with the analog softness I love.
