2009 National/Regional Meet Locations

Has anyone given any thought to organizing a National/Regional Meet yet? Some of us Mid-Atlantic guys have started the discussion process. Is there anyone else? I think we are all waiting to see what others will do. I know I wouldn't want to commit to organizing one of the Regionals and then find out that there is another Regional I may want to attend instead that weekend. Afterall, Cape May is getting kinda old hat! :)

Another potential problem, I've been thinking about doing a Disney World Meet in October, but now that the National dates have been announced a Disney World Meet to coincide with the National/Regional dates would be stepping on the toes of our Southeast Region members who may be looking to do a National/Regional Meet elsewhere in the South.

I think we need to start the discussion as to who is willing and where will it be held.

Interesting, I will be down @ Disney in October of 2009, but there is no way I'll be driving the RL down there. We are flying this time instead of renting an suv/mini van like we usually do.

Remember to coordinate these events with the EOC as well.

I'd say the CR-VOC club, but I'm not sure how involved they will get this year. And, since ROC and EOC has so much more experience at this already, we can lead the way. :)

Here I go, asking for an enhancement.. :D

Is there any way to have a thread that is replicated across the different clubs for coordinating combined events?

Question? Have the geographic regions been defined? There does not seem to be a good method! What about our Canadian friends, how will they mesh? Googling for regions, I can't find much other than the layout below!!

Although I like your breakdown "25", the ROC defines them differently (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=22).

I thought we were going by regions defined in the categories here on the site? But I don't know either. Going by your map people in the Dakotas won't be too happy if their meet is in New Mexico.

I like Arkansas being in the region with LA, TX, and OK.

We are west of the Mississippi

We're not limited to one Meet per Region.

Not my breakdown!! I just posted to start discussion. Are you talking about the "ROC defines them differently" meaning page one of the forum?

And yes, I was also referring to the ROC main page as a comparision.

The region breakdown is not all that important. It's not like we are limited to a certain number of Meets per region.

Regions schmeegions. Don't get too worked up over this. I do think it's best if each region has a big meet, but that's entirely up to each region. If you can put on a big enough event to pull people - go for it.
