I am talkiing with the guys at Rims-n-tires.com and they contend that new TPM sensors must be programmed. For you that have put on new wheels and purchased a new set of TPM sensors - did you have to do something with the dealer to program them?

Also the $18 cost per TPMS from majestic Honda seems very hard for them to beleive and the Honda dealer they are talking with.

Why do you have to replace the TPMS transducers? I changed wheels, and they moved the transducers to the new wheels, no problem.

I am not moving them, I am leaving the original wheels and tires together.

The service manual says to use new hardware when moving them to another wheel, not the transducer but new nuts & stem. The nuts are one time use items as they crush when installed to form a seal. However, I got new wheels and used all the old hardware and so far I've had no leaks.

The TPM sensor just sends out a signal to the reciver...no need to program. My cost thru my dealer was $41.00 for the TMP sensor for my full size spare tire with factory mag wheel.
