I have an eight month old Alaskan Husky named Mckinley. I brought her all the way back from Alaska in August.

She's pretty. I have a Husky/Wolfe German Shepard Mix. He enjoys being around my wife and I all the time and he is very affectionate. Good Luck with her.

Huskys are great. I had one when I lived in Vermont. -10 degrees and he would sleep outside in a snow bank during the day. When I got home he would come inside, get a drink and a cookie and want to go back outside. He would break through thin ice to go swimming in January. Used to ride in the back of my pickup all the time. People would give me dirty looks when they thought it was too cold, but he loved it. Very sweet pets.

I have a Husky/ Shepard mix. Damn dog is huge!! So freaking smart too. Can open every door in my house. It's not unheard of for us to come home and find him in the garage waiting for us. During winter that really sucks. the whole house is cold for hours after we get home. Great dog, crazy protective. I dont even get people coming to my door to try and sell things to me.

Here are a couple photos of Katya, our Huskamute (Husky-Malamute X). She is 11 yo, but she still acts like a pup. She loves riding in the back seat of the Ridge ... she would actually ride in the front if I let her ;)

I also include a photo of Mac, our pure-bred Malamute who lived to 12 yo, a good old age for a big 130+ lbs Mal. Like many big northern dogs, no door could hold him back. He loved to raid the fridge and pantry, anywhere food can be found, especially if it is smoked salmon! He liked to ride outside in the bed of the Ridge, sorry, no photos :( Our lives are a bit less interesting now that we don't worry about coming home to a kitchen that looks like it has been worked over by the Tasmanian Devil. We do miss him dearly.

Katya is a beautiful dog. Sorry to here about Mac. One of my dogs is like that. We call her the Houdini. By the way here name is Storm 7yrs old (perfect for all the trouble she gets into).

Wow! We love our Husky and Mastiff Husky mix. The Ridgeline designers must have been thinking of us when they put the remote rear window switch on the drivers door. Our Mastiff husky is bi-eyed and rests his head out the back window. It seems like at every stoplight someone is laughing and pointing at his big mug gazing out the back of the truck. As for the purebred husky, she definitely is an alpha and will put front paws on the wide armrest and lean forward into the front of the cab. She loves riding in the ridge better than SUV's we've owned, and seems to especially like Bruce Springsteins new CD. Or maybe I'm just reading to much into her animal behavior! HA!
