: Go Steelers
Long Gone 10-11-2005, 04:49 AM I seem to recall a member saying I should be concerned about last nights match up between the Steelers and the Chargers.
Yes, I was concerned, but at the end of game that was lifted when an elation came over me that caused me to celebrate.
Now...who is that member eating crow this morning??
 :D
hiPSI 10-11-2005, 05:36 AM My son and I are big fans too! I fell asleep with 3 minutes to go... so go Steelers!

I have to admit that the Monday Night game was a great one. I will also admit that you guys have great taste in vehicles, but horrible taste in football teams.

LOL....:D :)
hankim 10-11-2005, 07:23 AM Remember who beat the Steelers at home this year, and last year in the playoffs....Go Pats! Gotta make up for the Sox not making it past the wild card game. (Red Sox) nation turns its lonely eyes to you.....
A little nervous about this year, with all those injuries, but I said the same thing last year, and look what happened. Fatalism dies hard when you're a Red Sox fan.
True statement: ER visits were down dramatically in New England during playoff and World Series games last year. Being a Sox fan is healthy (at least in the short term...don't tell this to those poor souls who died before they ever got to see them win a series ever).
Zemog 10-11-2005, 09:19 AM Like I said before, Ladyridge. ; In spite of you being a steelers fan, we love you anyway! ;)

Thanks Z. Back at ya kiddo!!
denvrfan 10-11-2005, 10:46 AM Being a Broncos fan, I was a huge supporter of the Steelers last night. Nice job bringing the 'Bolts back to earth after their improbable rout of the Pats the previous week. Now if the Broncos can just take care of business this Sunday at Mile High....
UglyTruckling 10-11-2005, 10:49 AM As a SF 49ers fan, I like watching ANY other football team this year. I'm looking for a winning team to root for along with the 49ers, just so I can enjoy the season a bit -- and the Steelers are a pretty entertaining team to watch! I might have to jump on the bandwagon.

Hey, you 49ers fans had your glory days during the 80s. You gotta give other fans something to cheer for ;)
Ladyridge, any word on the QB's injury today? To me, it looks like his posterior cruciate ligament got torn.
UglyTruckling 10-11-2005, 11:22 AM I know, I know... but those glory days of the 80's are what makes it so hard to watch now! I'd be happy if they could just win a third of their games this year... :(

For all you Steeler fans.......from ESPN.com:
PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a hyperextended left knee and a bone bruise sustained during a game-winning field goal drive at the end of a 24-22 victory at San Diego on Monday night, but hasn't been ruled out of Sunday's game against Jacksonville.
The injury isn't as severe as it initially appeared to be -- immediately after the game, coach Bill Cowher said "it looked bad."
"It's a deep sigh of relief," Cowher said Tuesday.
Roethlisberger had an MRI test shortly after the team returned to Pittsburgh on Tuesday morning.
Perkolater 10-11-2005, 12:05 PM It's a pity that LadyRidge is going to be so disappointed this Sunday! ;)
GO JAGUARS!!!
Tex's Ridge 10-11-2005, 12:19 PM My daughter is married to GM for NE Margarita's. He was given a seat on the NE Patriots Airplane going to Denver for their game this weekend!!! I am friggin jealous!!
captmiddy 10-11-2005, 12:41 PM I am a Pats fan but nothing like I am a Red Sox fan. I watch the Pats when it is convenient to do so, I watch the Sox whenever they are on even if it means being tired the next day for work. And I am just a pale fan in comparison to my wife who is a major Sox fan. That being said, I am glad the Steelers picked on the Chargers after our loss to them. I am a bit concerned about the Pats this year with all the injuries but they always seem to pull out of those, but there has to be a point when you reach that plateau that you can get above anymore.

I guess maybe we'll know more soon. Usually, as you know, the PCL is far less injured than the ACL which is probably a good thing since they have done much more research on the ACL. Let's cross our fingers and hope he just got a really bad boo-boo. :D
shingles 10-11-2005, 01:53 PM Go Texans..
err, wait, never mind...
How about a prayer for the Texans? They'll need it and a WHOLE lot more.

Could that "plateau" be 5,280' above sea level??? I've had this Sunday's game circled on the schedule since it was published. I have a co-worker who is a huge Pats fan, even wears a Tom Brady watch. We're exchanging the pre-game trash talk already. Should be a great game- let's hope the weather is better than last week's monsoon in Denver. Weather can be a real neutralizer this time of year, especially in Denver.
Long Gone 11-10-2005, 06:24 PM Hey bonerep...Are ya skeered?? :D
STEELERS Won 6, Lost 2
Chargers Won 5, Lost 4

I think that would seal the deal.
That's O.K. Ladyridge - as long as you have pity on us Brown's fans.
