Does anyone know what the interpretation of this issue would be and who I should talk to and get an official answer.
My 2006 had a warranty at purchase that was 3 yr / 36k miles.
Note with the odometer extension that became 37,800 miles.
I purchased an extended warranty that was 7 yrs / 75k miles.
Then Honda extended the Drivetrain warranty to 5 yr / 60k/63k miles.
Today I sit at 4 years and 70k miles and no issues.
I wonder if my extended warranty is going to end at 75k or did I essentially purchase a 39K extension that is now added to the 60k warranty to take me to 100k. And 9 years???
Has anyone had this answered?

Assuming you bought the HondaCare Warranty, I'd give them a call and ask...

Thank you, yes was Honda Warranty Care.
I'm pretty sure their initial answer will be for the lesser so I may need to fight for my rights.
So hoping to find others than have already gotten a positive response either from the start or at the end.

If you purchased the Honda Care with less than 6k miles on the odometer, it starts at the inservice date of the vehicle and zero miles.

Yep know when it started, asking about when it ends. Bought it new so yes 0 miles from March 2005. Thanks

Do you have the Honda Care Vehicle Service Contract booklet they sent you after buying the warranty? Inside the front page will tell you when it expires.

I'm not sure you are getting my original post. Yes the contract shows a fixed expiration and it is coming soon. However the point of my question is shortly after I bought it Honda extended the warranty of the vehicle itself to nearly that level. So is the extended contract "on top" of the existing warranty so that it gets extended too?

I understood your post. The only extension you'll get is the 5% on the mileage from the class action suit. If you bought 7yr/75k the mileage should now be 78,750.
I bought the 7yr/80k mile Honda Care after Honda already changed the power train warranty to 5yr/60k miles. My warranty even though I bought it 6 months after buying my truck with 5k miles on it started at 0 miles and the inservice date of the truck, and will expire 7 yrs from the day I bought the truck and at 84k miles.

Maybe this chart will explain it better than I am.

Thank you. From your answer you made the decision to buy and nothing changed for you since it was after the policy change.
Here's an analogy so you can see it from my pov. For me I just picked up my drink from the bar only to hear the bartender announce free doubles. Sure I got what I paid for. But wouldn't I be unhappy at the timing of the announcement and possibly entitled to the increased service if I ask nicely.

Both the original new car warranty and the extended warranty run concurrently, with the extended warranty taking over after the original one runs out. Sorry, no extension to 100,000 miles.

Don't take me wrong...I get what you are saying. But you know that the 5yr/60k miles is only for the power train. Honda Care covers a lot more, and covers a Rental car from day 1, If you need warranty work that takes all day or longer.
