No - we will probably meet at the Best Western Motel on the West Side of Eureka Springs ( it has the Myrtle Mae's Restaurant ) and ride the trolley to downtown as the parking will be nearly impossible.

It's address is 207 West Van Buren, Eureka Springs. ( it is on US Highway 62 )

How is the knee - I drove from NW Arkansas to Edgewater FL - the wifes' new knee got stiff from the drive.

Fly on allegiantair.com from Lost Wages NV to NWA airport (XNA) - It is a 90 minute drive from here, I'll even pick you up and drive you to Eureka Springs.

The fare is sometime only $39 each way ( plus seat and luggage and any other fees they can con out of us.) fly in on Sept 10 and go home on Sept 13 for that fare ( todays' price )

The knee gets a little better each day....I've even stopped using the cane, but by the end of the day I'm pretty sore and limping. Dr says for six months following the surgery I should expect swelling and stiffness around the knee, but after that things should improve quickly. Given my size, weight and age, I'll give it 8-10 months.

We need to send TSCDC and a few others here in AR from this thread a reminder to come to join us at the meet.

There were a lot of classic cars in last year's event from eastern OK, southern MO, and western TN. It should draw members from those areas.

There is the Post Your Zip code thread. I wish we could get a list of all AR owners and near areas like Tulsa OK, Springfield MO, and Memphis TN.

I bet DJEAUX wrote a script (possibly Perl or Python) to pull a list of Gulf Coast owners from the Zip code list. :) :D

My browsing Computer bit the dust at about 22:00 last night. - I had a secton of memory with a stuck 8 bit and it trashed the C drive before I could figure out what was failing - all backups for the last week has trash in them as well. my last good C was from August 6. I total wiped out the C drive when I did a defragment on the C drive at 21:00 and soon all I got was blue screens of death with all sorts of weird error codes -

the Ultimate Barts PE disk showed I could boot windows but as soon as I used the bad section of memory - it too died. All night I have been doing diagnostics. Fortunately I keeps rotating backup drives and had to go back to the last one before I took the trip to Florida.

I will look to see if I can figure out how to extract the data. No promises as I am rebuilding my Primary from scratch as if has run Windows XP 64 since the day it was released without any reload - I worked fine thru 4 motherboards and the drivers and registry were rather bloated from old software and entries.

I put that new memory in the computer on Aug 7 and ran diags on it for 24 hours with no errors - I looks like that sometime on the 12 the bit got stuck. Many drivers died and restarted for the rest of my vacation.

Oh well.

We had a great time even if Craig had to go to work.

We ended up all going to the War Eagle Mill and then back to Myrtie Maes for Dinner.

3 of us had the Broiled Calves Liver and it was fabulous.

Georgia Cracker will be using the ROC name olddirt ( his work nickname ).

He left for Branson, Cajun left for Harrison and I headed back to Bentonville.

Here are some pictures to start with.

4 ridgelines in a row
the gang waiting for the trolley ( we got a bus today ).
the start of the parade
would you believe a monkey distracted everyone
one of the Bank Robber actress was enjoying teasing someone watching the parade - he proposition her - her reply was he didn't have enough money.

Craig, sorry you had to go back to Conway so soon. Glad you made it back safely.
It was good meeting Larryr and olddirt and seeing Cajun again, along with wives. We met briefly at breakfast and later in the day met up with Craig and his son Adam.

great group of shots Larry, thanks for sharing with those of us not able to attend - downtown Eureka Springs looks exactly the same and they're still bringing out one of the nation's premier group of classics, street rods, exotics, etc. - who'da thunk you could put together this level of free car show in the mountains of NW Arkansas, and do it year after year? The number and variety of exotics and race cars was the most surprising, an amazing grouping - what was that logo they all had on their hoods?

To everyone I have sent my pictures and video's to Larry and Robert (old dirt). I am not real good on down sizing to 360 x480 or what ever.
We did have a great time. My wife is still talking about the whole trip especially the all day in Eureka Springs and also War Eagle Mill.

Got an email from Robert & Sylvia tonight, they are already in Kansas headed for Colorado.
My wife and my mother-in-law and I were in Mountain Home Arkansas to eat at Fred's Catfish House and do a little shopping.
The Ridge was very dirty from the wet drive up to Harrison. I went to clean the Ridge up the rode and when I returned to the Christian Bookstore to pick up my wife and her mother, they had been visiting and talking to Robert and Sylvia about their new Ridgeline and that we also had one.
The more we talked, and they didnot have any agenda, so I invited them to come with us to Eureka Springs for the meet. They were more than happy tocome along. By Sat. night during supper, it was like we all had known each other all our lives. Larry & Rose were perfect hosts and we really enjoyed meeting Craig and his son.
I will say one thing, if any ROC's like classic cars, this is the best meet I have ever been too, and I have seen many.
I will try to work with Larry and get my pictures on the ROC site, but it will take some time.
This was a great trip to remember: My wife and I spent time with some really nice people, The Ridgeline traveled 1476.4 miles for the whole trip.
Total gas cost was $163.71 at an average of $2.43 per gallon
The Ridgeline used 68.1 gallons of gas. We averaged 21.6798 mpg for the whole trip.
My low tank was 19.24mpg and my high tank was 24.23mpg.

I gave out 3 cards of invitation to join ROC this weekend and made new friends by inviting one couple to come to Eureka Springs ROC mini meet.

Aint Life Grand !!!!:D:D
