Just wanted to post and say that I purchased a USA Spec PA11-HON2Y (iPod to factory stereo hookup) from a forum member and successfully installed the unit. The install was really easy (<30 min) and I am really happy with the results.

I ended up routing the cable through the 'Not an Ashtray' -- the perfect location for my iPod to stay out of sight. Soon, I will likely buy the new cable that allows charging for my iPod Touch. I am pretty stoked to use it on our upcoming move (OH to NC).

eSlon,

Glad it worked out for you.

The ROC community is always eager to offer opinions; right, wrong or upside down. :p

I am close to making the purchase... but I am worried about pulling the dash. Is this something that can easily be done and put back? Any chance of loose fit or chirping after you put everything back together?

I tend to screw up the easiest of tasks sometimes and would hate myself if I mess up my Ridge. :)

PS: Where in NC are you moving? I just got down here about a year ago myself (from NJ)

This one thing, Honda got right! Check out other posts on this topic. Once I did it, I thought "Is that all it is?" Piece of cake.

The dash really is easy to remove. The only advice I have is not to do it when the truck is cold. Plastic gets kind of brittle when it's cold. . .
Taking the dash off took less than 5 minutes -- just take your time and go as slow as you need to.

We just moved to the Raleigh area -- job transfer. We really like the area so far -- still trying to recover from the move, though.
