Advice about this grill...

Hi guys, I'm looking for a little help here on a possible mod project to this grill I have. When I bought my '06 RL (previously owned) it came with this "grillz" grill cover (I can't find any more information about it than that). It just goes on overtop of the stock grill which is still there.

I'm wondering about painting this grill cover a flat black and need some advice about this material. It looks to me to be stainless. Does anyone have experience painting it? If so, does it turn out ok or leave a lot to be desired? What paint would be recommended for this mod?

i'd suggest scuff it up and use engine enamel. I used that for the grill itself.

I took your advice and went and took the grill cover off and sanded it up with some wet/dry 320 grit. I've got some black engine enamel paint on order at our local hardware store (joys of small town living). I will toss up some pics when I get it done.

I painted the grill and re-installed it today. Turned out not too shabby. Aside from painting the OEM grill black, this is about as good as it gets.
