I am a RL newbe. My new to me 07 RTL w/nav came with a built in DVD player mounted on the roof. I can not figure out how to plug head phones nor get the sound over the truck's sound system. I have been reading and re-reading the manuals.

If this is the OEM DVD system, then you must have missed this on page 6 of the manual...
You have to turn on the FM modulator first on the unit by holding down the AUX button located on the center console DVD player or on the remote for 3 seconds and then tune to the FM station 88.5 (default) or somewhere between the stations of 88.1-88.9
Also you can use the infrared headphones with and or without the FM modulator. You can purchase them from one of the ROC sponsors here: http://www.handa-accessories.com/ridgelineelect.html (http://www.handa-accessories.com/ridgelineelect.html)

Outstanding help and quick too!
I bought a set of headphones and found the manual there too in PDF format. Downloaded it.
I love forums!!! In the days before them, I would have had to visit the dealer to get this info. I forgot to add, I didn't get the remote when I bought the RL. I didn't see a way to buy it. Any suggestions? It's not that important but I would like to see how much it costs.
Much thanks to you!

But how about trying out a universal programmable remote?

I have a uni remote but I don't know who made the Honda's DVD player. I have been searching the net to find out. Any ideas?

Usually the uni remote allows you to search for the code by following a particular set of steps.... Check its manual...
The OEM systems are pioneer, and the Nav model I believe is alpine... The DVD... No idea...
