Bed mat and Trunk and a bunch of other stuff

Hi ,
I'm new to the Ridgeline family and have several questions. Some might sound silly to the seasoned veteran.
I'm having trouble with the gas pedal. I can reach it but can't put my heel down on the floor. It's like my foot is up in the air and sometimes it slips off the pedal. Is there something out there that I can use to make it a more comfortable drive? I'm short and don't have the long legs my husband has. A longer gas pedal would be nice. Any ideas?
I'm thinking of buying a bed mat. First off, any suggestions for that (I live in Canada)?
Also how does the trunk work with the bed mat? Is it easy to lift up when you need to get to the trunk or does a bed mat make it a hard job to get to the trunk?
I'm also thinking about a tonneau cover. We're considering a Retrax or Bak Flip. Any pros or cons?
What about window vents? Are the channel ones easy to install?
How about running boards? I can get in but would make my life easier with some sort of running board. What about running board compared to a step? Is one better than the other?
I appreciate anyone's answer on any of my questions.
Thanks,
Em

You might try your local auto parts store (I don't know if you have any PEP BOYS or AUTOZONES where you are) and look for aftermarket pedal covers for vehilces with automatic transmissions. You might get a slightly longer gas pedal that can be attached to your existing gas pedal. Just make sure it doesn't catch on the carpet or floor mat and leave you with a stuck throttle. I can't comment on the bed mat, I don't have one and wouldn't want one.

I have a truxedo Pro roll up cover and would highly recommend it, unless you really need the security of a hard, lockable cover.

As for the window vents, The Lund aftermarket ones are cheaper than Honda OEM and just as good in my estimation.

I'll leave the running board/nerf bar/side step question to someone who has experience living with snow. I'm sure there are pros and cons an Arizona driver can't possibly imagine.

Hi and welcome to the ROC! See below for my contributions.

I have the Protecta. The choice of many ROC members. I just flip it over to open the trunk. The trunk will not stay open with it on top.

I bought the OEM with the RL but just use the search function to the top left for plenty of information and opinions.

I just bought Raptor nerf bars from Realtruck.com (a ROC sponsor) for $191 and free shipping. I prefer the looks over running boards but that's a personal reflection. And like Rusty, I have no snow issues in SoCal.
