Figured I'd put a plug in for what I think is the best fireworks show in Colorado -- Idaho Springs, less than an hour West of Denver on I70. If I'd have to hazard a guess, show starts at about 8:30-9.
Best place to view is in the parking lot sandwiched between the main street stores and the North side of I70, in front of the water wheel (which is on the South side of I70). It's a huge crowd, so don't expect to be able to get out of there quickly after the show. I always stay in town (in fact making a long weekend of it) and walk to the show. The town's small enough that everything's walking distance from everything else.
If you come, look for my silver Ridgeline (the unicycle.com sticker in the back window should make it fairly unique) parked in the parking lot described above to stake out some space, or in the parking lot of the Heritage Inn!
