Door Ridgeline Badges

I actually mounted these over a week ago and am now just getting around to posting the pictures.

A couple more pictures. Notice the Ridgeline of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the background.

I like these. Where did you get them? I only wish they were mounted on a door protector that was affordable.

I ordered them from College Hills Honda for $35 each. Paul Pacek was great to deal with. It took quite awhile to get them because there was a shipping error somewhere and they ended up in Texas. Once I let Paul know he immediately notified UPS and they were rerouted to me.

I really like the way they look. It kind of adds a little sportiness to the side view. I think my next project I will tackle myself will be to black out the side chrome "wings" on the grill. I will leave everything mounted and protect the heck out of everything I don't want spray painted, even the radiator. I just finished painting our Master Bedroom so I have left over painter's tape and plastic sheeting.

The nose is so easily removed even an engineer could probably do it.:p

I haven't even looked at the mounting of the grill/front end assembly. Maybe I will order one of the aftermarket grills instead and do it myself when the wife is away for awhile!!

Do I send her shopping with her mother? That could be way too costly.

Am planning to do the same, in gold. I think the upper panel just below the window...:) HA just added the gold "Ridgeline" emblems to their inventory by my request. Am negotiating price now.:)

The Ridgeline name on the side isn't bad at all but how about the ROC's logo in badge form on the side? :cool:

Thank you. I got the idea from someone on this site who bought their truck with the badges already on them. I considered mounting them higher, but settled on the current location.

Does anyone have any good tips for getting the Ridgeline badges lined up on each side of the truck? I can probably muddle through it, but I'd hate it if they wound up in different spots. I'm putthing them low on the front doors.

Untested on a RL but...

Run some tape along the bottom edge of the door, or along one of the ridges. It will provide a guide for straightness and a spacer for consistency.

I put mine on by lining up the front of the emblem with the front edge of the door cutout and the bottom along the top of the cutout. Seemed to work pretty well. I must admit that the passenger side is off about 3mm.

Yes, same as the tailgate. I would have preferred something that did not stick out as much as the tailgate badges, but there aren't many choices out there right now.

It's kinda funny. The first thing most of my friends do after buying a new vehicle is to carefully remove all badging, pinstripes, etc, and you guys are putting them on. I personally don't mind the badges, but I don't think I would add them. It forces people to ask me what kind of vehicle I am driving, which happens a LOT.

I have a set that I won here on the ROC. I'm waiting for a warm day with a clean truck before I put them on.

I did the same thing on Monday chrome on black sorry no pics They cost me $56 each canadian and had them the next day!

I just had my tailgate repainted due to some moron laying my tailgate on his old farm truck gate to transfer a snowblower that I sold him on ebay. needless to say a 150.00 snowblower wound up costing him 650.00, the replacement badges alone were 120.00.

Just a couple of pictures of my plain wrapper Ridge (white)with badges on the side. I removed all badges from the rear. Also a xmas present to myself. New Chrome type rims from Perma Star.

I know many of you want bigger rims, but the 17" and tire combo work fine for me.

I like the naked azz look, so no holes on the tail gate under emblems?

Thinking the rear tow hook should be powder coate black also.

No hole under the removed badges in the tail gate. They were put on with two sided tape.

I don't think there is truly a special edition Ridgeline on the market. The badges look like Accord Special Edition badges.

I like it..it's a classy touch.

I wish they would have done a special edition. We'd have gone for it. I want something on the outside of my RTL with NAV that lets the world know we bought top of the line Truck Of The Year! That's why our Ridgeline Extreme decals appealed to us, though they aren't as fancy as badges.

I don't go to SLC often, but it's not completely out of the question. It's not that far, it's just more congested than I like.

PM me and let me know where your conference is and what kind of schedule you're going to have. It would be fun to meet another ROCer. It doesn't appear that any of the RL owners I've talked to or tagged with a brochure and encouraged to join has done so.

So where'd the Special Edition badge come from?

Dealer said they are from an Oddy- the only thing special about this one was the Pinstripe- everything else was an RTL.

He is putting the door badges on all of his Ridges- offered to put them on mine for free. But I'm thinking about debadging- so no more for me!

K, if some of you are into taking the badges off their tailgate, can they be reused? If so, I will take them off your hands for let's say 10 bucks? 5 bucks and a virtual hug?

As long as they are in good shape and can be reused, I'm in!! I love the looks of the badges on the side, but can't justify spending that kind of money on plastic chrome.

Can you go to any dealer and get them to order you these or have they made it onto the net yet? They are exactly what I have been looking for.

Rocky Top RTL, I'd like to help point you in the right direction, but it's unclear to me which person you are referring to about finding exactly what you've been looking for.

In future posts may I suggest that you get to the specific post you are referring to (especially if it's way up the thread, like number 6 and you're on number 38) then click on the "quote" button in the lower right corner of the post. That copies the post your responding to into your message box where you can edit out the parts you don't need if necessary (just to save space and keep it clear) and then we all know who you are addressing.

I've used the quote function here even though it's not necessary (since I'm pretty sure my response will be immediately after yours) just to show you what it will look like when you hit "submit reply."

K, if some of you are into taking the badges off their tailgate, can they be reused? I debadged my tailgate. I would say NO, they can't be reused. The plastic stayed in one piece, but the adhesive is pretty well destroyed and would be very difficult to cut precisely enough to work without showing.
