Hey guys, my first post here.

I backed up over my neighbors kids bike yesterday, and went over to pay the kid and have a chat with his dad. He suggested I get the "hitchscan" product, found at hitchscan.com (http://www.hitchscan.com/) He says its easy and simple to install,

Does anyone have experience with this product?

Thanks.

EDIT: just found this http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/aftermarket-products/55735-parking-sensor-hitchscan/

It certainly seems like a great idea. One site I checked says the product is discontinued.

And then I found this thread here:

So there's no reverse wire to power this on the RL?

the site is back-up at hitchscan.com, i called them and asked,

then i called the Honda dealer and the lady said that there is power to the reverse wire if i have the tow package, so I should be fine. (hopefully)

EDIT: The actual product comes with a 4 pin adapter too, the ridgeline has a 7 pin so it should be fine

I have the same product that was branded under audiovox. I bought it when it first came out and cost around $200. A few years later they were being cleared out at a local auto parts first for $20, then later for $9.99...

It still works the same years later.

A very old thread

Better yet get a wireless backup camera system... VR3 now makes one that has a 3.5 inch screen and Peak makes one with a 7inch screen for around $80 (at sams club)...
