Your ears should be the judge, but if you like a forward speaker, they are great. Give them at least 50W/ch to make them happy, 100W/ch. will make them come alive.

I haven't listened to Focals in person, but people who have say they're excellent for Classical, Jazz & Vocals. Not as good for Hip-Hop or Electronica.
But like everyone above has said -- you need to listen to speakers with your own ears to make a good decision. In my case I need a slightly brighter speaker to overcome some hearing loss from my time in the military, so will be trying out speakers like MB Quart and JBL.

I'm not sure if Memphis Audio is available in your area, but I went with the MClass 6.5" components because I couldn't afford the Focal (K2's I think). I thought the SQL was very close to the Focal's at approx. $200 less/pair.
As others have said- your own ears will tell you what sounds good to you. Take music that you are very familiar with on a demo and go from there.
Have fun! :D
