Diablo, I feel your pain. I had a dinosaur on dial up not too long ago. It would be a better world if everyone could afford a modern computer and broadband.

The tool to make a new thread appears under the sub-forum in each forum category. You do have to back this far to pick which forum and sub-forum is most appropriate to post in. The description with each sub-forum helps us to figure out where to post, but it's not always clear cut.

This sub-forum is not the best place to ask this question because it is the TSB topic. We'll all go with ya on this one because we know you are new and you're trying to get it right. I would have picked the Greetings and Introductions sub-forum.

If you go to the forums page you see all the Main forums, such as ROC Member Central, and then sub-forums, such as Greetings and Introductions, enter that and you will see the individual threads. As you go into each sub-forum you will see the "new thread" option.

OK, I've probably over explained the part you've already figured out. Now I'll give a try at the short cuts. I almost never go to the home page. You can just backtrack to a current sub-forum or go the the forums page if you need to get into a new discussion catergory.

Are you using the links that appear at the top of the page? Perhaps you don't know that they are active links.

On the top box of this page it says: Honda Ridgeline Owners Club Forums > 2006 Honda Ridgeline > Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's) and Recalls > thread help. Each of the the phrases between the >s provide a direct jump. For instance, in one click I can back up to complete list of ROC Forums, or I can just back up to 2006 Honda Ridgeline Forum if I want to look into or add something to a sub-forum in that forum. If it's a TSB issue, I would just back up one level from the specific thread I'm looking at to the list of topics in that sub-forum. That's where I could add a new thread or topic.

I hope that will save you a page or two of download time. Others may know of different shortcuts or have a better way of walking you through what I tried to explain.

Yes, it's not quite straightforward. You can't post a new thread from "Today's/New Posts". I believe you have to be at a particular subject area to create a new topic.

True. You must be in a category such as "Interior" in order to post a new, interior-related message.

It's always best to place your new post in the appropriate category as well. For example, this topic is about how to use the forum and it's located under our TSB's section. So, I'm going to move it down to our off-topic category, "The Ridge".

Also, keep in mind that we do have a FAQ link up top that gives lots of information about how to use the forum and also it will have some Ridgeline information there from time to time as well.
