Single Steps Available (no nerf bars or runners)

I posted over on the exteriors section a day ago and was wondering if anyone has equipped their RL, or seen anyone elses, with single steps not the nerf bars or running boards that seem popular.

All the single steps I search for such as the Rhino Spring Steps seem only available for domestic trucks and nissan titans... I have read that these particular steps (rhino spring step, first pic) are not that sturdy but I am very interested in a single step solution vs nerf bars or boards.

I havent had a chance yet since getting my RL a week ago to inspect the undercarrige and see what might be adaptable to the single steps if they arent readily supported by the manufacturer.

Any thoughts or pics, links much appreciated.

Im thinking of purchasing some brackets that would accompany the boards or bars and then modify them to fit the steps. Just by the slot they provide it looks possible... if I cant drill the brackets to support the steps then I can take them to be welded. Nice little project here.
