Rack System

I am going to get a Roof Rack for my Ridgeline RL--I have a few questions first that I think you knowledgeable folks can answer for me...

1)Rain Gutters? While Researching racks I come across those that say "for roofs with rain gutters" and vise versa---Do our Ridgeline's come with gutters?
I dont know..

2)Any suggestions on what the most versatile rack there is? Something I can carry a canoe on?

3)Cheapest places to buy?

REI has a 20 per cent off sale on Thule starting in a few days. I plan on buying the 400xt towers and the fit kit for the RL. I already have the cross bars and in my case the Hullivators for our sea kayaks.

I think the towers and bars are rated for 160lb.

I see you are asking the question again. The Thule is an after market rack system that will fit the RL. I'm sure that Yakima also has a system that fits on the roof of the RL. You have to look for a system that fits "gutterless" vehicles.

The thing is Thule is on sale at all REI stores.

Thank you! I was wondering if the Ridgeline Has Gutters or not, it was driving me crazy, it has these things that Look like they could be gutters, but hell, I don't know.....

Yeh, Wolf, gutters were on all the old vehicles back in the 40's, 50's and maybe the 60's. Not too many rigs today have gutters. They are the "lips or gutters" running lenghtwise just above the doors to keep the moisture from running down over the glass and door. They work just like the gutters on a building. Our RLs don't have them.
