Is any one familiar with this lift kit:
http://store.fatbobsgarage.com/shared/StoreFront/product_detail.asp?RowID=6448&CS=fatbobs&All=

The price is very nice. I just wanted to see if any one has had any experience with this product or this company.

I used the ROC search and Nothing came up.

The only thing that concerns me is the rear block, it is a true 2" and the Turxxx rear block is only 1.5"

Any thoughts, will the rear stand higher, will that look lame?

I heard about it but didn't use it I went with truxxx. As far as the rear lift you could run an extra half inch going to a full 2inch no problem. The truxxx lift kit is designed to lift and level the truck. The front end is half inch lower than the rear so if you did a full 2 inch lift then the front will still be half inch lower and have a little rake to it. I can only vouch for the truxxx lift like most everyone lifted here could.

You could always be the guinea pig and try it out so that future ROCers can find your review and base their decision upon you satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Good luck either way!

If you want a Truxxx Lift, Fatbobs is the cheapest place to get it. And you wont have to be a guinea pig.

The reason I went with the truxxx lift over any other is because Honda chose that particular kit on the lifted RL's they showed off in the SEMA show a couple of years back...that was enough to influence my decision and it included the longer stabilizer links for the front suspension. Not to knock skyjacker or any of the other companies. I seriously have lost no driving or handling integrity with the truxxx hit and I'm very happy with it... just make sure who ever does the alignment know what they're doing because the RL doesn't have Camber adjustment just Toe in the front. If it's not put together properly you'll need to buy a bolt kit to adjust camber and this could be a hassle.

Is it just me, or do all the lift kits at Fat Bob's look the same! (all made by Truxxx?!)
I am just getting ready to order my lift kit so I called Truxxx. They said that their kit is a "lift kit" 2" front and back not 1.5" in the back. Also they changed the sway bar links design a year ago, so maybe that is the differences in the kits at Bob's! (old design vs new)

There is a Truxxx lift kit for the Ridgeline on E-bay right now (new design) for $320!;)

Like I said, I talked to Gabe at Truxxx yesterday and he assured me that their kit was a "lift kit" 2" front and back.

Can any members that have the Truxxx kit confirm the lift front and back?

hmm, I bought mine from Truxxx in late 2007 and I could have sworn it was 2" Front and 1.5" Rear... but it referenced on the kit "Leveling Kit" and when I had the pieces side by side there was a noticeable difference b/n the front and back. The same part# which I purchased is listed on their site as 202020 and this is what I purchased. My RL still has a slight rake to it and it's acceptable to me until I load the bed up.

Look at this picture unless they changed or somebody doesn't know what they are talking about this kit is a leveling one http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8326&highlight=truxx&page=2

As posted earlier I bought my TRUXXX lift from Fatbobs over two years ago. Unless Truxxx has changed their kit since then mine is 2" front 1.5" rear. Its was or is the only kit that comes with shorter sway bar links. It cost me $260.00 back then. As for Skyjacker its 2" all around with no swaybar links. I'm thinkin Truxxx was the first to have such a kit for the RL way back.

So I got my 2" lift kit from Fat Bob today!

The quality looked good, thick steel, decent welds, 1/4" flanges; good coating ; bolts pressed in ; both front and rear blocks were 2". New sway bar links included. There were no washers with the hardware but the nuts look like good quality, they are the kind with serations on the mating side.

However, while the front blocks can stack together (the 3 studs in one unit line up with and slide into the holes of the other unit) the rear blocks will not stack. The studs in one rear unit will not line up and slide into the other unit (it is as if they are a little too far off center and the opposing plate is getting hung up on the sides of the threads of the bolt). This has me concerned. Is it supposed to be like this? Is it posible that the factory bolts that hold the rear struts to the frame are smaller and will fit in the holes?
Am I making sense???

Has anyone that has done a lift remember if their rear blocks were able to stack on top of each other, where the pressed studs from one unit slid into the holes of the other unit?

Please advise, I don't want any surprises with the install.

Thanks

My truxxx kit did stack up front and rear. The studs actually face down when you install it onto the truck. The front studs go up and you put the nuts back on the strut once spacer is on then push the new studs/spacer into 3 factory strut mount holes.

The rear bolts on so you use the factory bolts through the holes with no studs and mount it to the truck first not the strut. The stud side goes down and you put that through the rear strut and put the nuts on. The rear struts have to come all the way out to be twisted 180 degrees for spacer to fit the truck.

If i were you i would measure the stud distances from many different angles and make sure its the same for both rear spacers. Them not lining up makes me think they are warped or just not cut right. You may have a dud rear lift and need to send it back

Thanks for the Reply 07_rtx, your RL has been a real inspiration to me.

Well I carefully examined the rear blocks and it looks like they are all cut consistantly. However they may be warped; they are not perfectly flat, the tips actually curl in slightly, making the studs bow out wards in the slightest way, and thus not line up with the opposing holes.
Was it desingned with this slight curvature or did the flanges bend durring the welding process?

I guess I will have to wait till Tuesday to talk to Fat Bob and have him check another set.

Sounds like welding might have warped it. They dont need to be warped since they will be a real pain to ever get everything tight and lined up when you go to install them. Thats the very last thing you want to worry about once you have the truck torn apart.

But let me know how things go with Fat Bobs maybe they will honor the flawed product and make it right with you somehow. Thats why i went with the truxxx lift kit which i bought used from a member Shep53. I gave 200 shipped for mine with shorter links and everything still looked brand new.

If things dont work out my buddy SilverRidge08 is or was pulling his off and selling it for a very good deal check him out if you dont have any luck with Fat Bob.

By the way thanks for the kind words i am glad me and my truck can inspire and help out others in need. Thats why i enjoy forums because i can give my info and experiences and get back compliments better advice or a whole different perspective. If you need any pics of my truck or help just let me know and ill see what i can do.

07 RTX, you're my new salesman!:p I really appreciate you always helping me out! My lift is sitting in the garage. One member wanted it but backed out. Another was interested, but haven't heard back from them in a few days. $200.00 shipped to any of the lower 48 is what I'll take. I'll be posting it on the trading post in the a.m. Here are some pics. Still got the Truxxx sticker to boot!

I bought my truxx lift in Jun of this year from fatbobs and I've been 100% satisfied with it! Great price, easy do deal with, I would buy from them again. It is a 2" lift at all 4 corners of the truck. The look with my 265/70/17nitto terra grapplers is night vs day. I had to grind the pinch welds in the front to accomodate the tire but had to do nothing to the rear. I heard you want the truxx sway bar links they send you to have the "orange bushings", i guess these are the newer kits(which i have). My gas mileage has only dropped about 1.5-2 mpg hwy!!! Only difference while driving is the shift point in the transmission now, it downshifts much sooner on hills...but i've gotten used to it and it's no big deal. I've been very happy and love my truck!
