I just traded by 2006 RTL for a 2009 RTL w/ Nav. Can anyone confirm whether or not the TPMS sensors are different now? Reason I ask is I kept my spare set of rims and snow tires from my 2006 and have a bad feeling when I go to put them on in a few months the new TPMS system wont be happy.

A few people have asked the same question here. The consensus is that the TPMS system has changed and you won't be able to use the old sensors.
You could just put the winters on the RL now and test them yourself before winter comes. (That's what I did at my last rotation, just to make sure there were no problems with the new sensors.)
If you decide to try, let us know the outcome.
Welcome to the ROC.

Here is a link to the Honda TPMS part #s

I just got 5 new tires 255/65/17, an extra steel rim $57(I am continueing to run the stock RT steel rims) and a 06421-S3V-A04 TPMS sensor $34. I wanted a full size spare.
The tire just barley fits in the trunk (most likely the bigest it will accomidate in height and with)
I am sorry to report I have not mounted it yet to see if it trips the TPMS sensor.
The Honda service writer and tech were adament that it would not work untill you entered it into the ECM but I heard on the ROC that they are self initializing, and turn on when the wheel is spinning.

Your bad feeling is correct. You will have to purchase a new set of 2009-2010 TPMS sensors and stems to have them work with your '09 RL TPMS receiving unit.

I also hope you have an extra set of lug nuts to go with your old set of Rims. The new lugs from '08 on are also not compatible.

Now the good news... I would be willing to buy one of your old TPMS for my '06 spare. And you should be able to sell the others here on the ROC to recoup some funds for your new ones.

You can run them if you dont mind the tpms light on and inability to turn vsa off by the switch which you wouldnt wanna do much anyway. You can always pull the vsa fuse like lots of people do. Once you put the 09 wheels back on then everything will go back to normal

Believe them.
