yeah, the plane's REALLY cool. Though the offical stance is still "we're just going to make engines" the official stance was always "we're no going to build a truck". So who knows. There's a global ad video found here:

"To test the public's reaction to the unusual aircraft, the HondaJet was scheduled to make about a three-hour visit to EAA AirVenture 2005 in Oshkosh — the airplane's first public showing"

Missed it last year

I should add the EAA AirVenture link in Destinations thread... If you like planes it is the place to go!! Worlds busiest airport for the week!!

It is just another way that Honda has shown that it is the most inovative engine builder in the world. Thinking outside the box is what keeps them at the top of most technological developments.

I can tell everyone from first hand info that Honda is proceeding with plans to build the jet. One of the companies that I do business with is under contract building major airframe components for the Honda jet. Like some other folks have indicated; it is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when the jet will be made available in the marketplace. The target of the jet is corporate, seating 6 to 8 passengers with a service ceiling of 40 to 45K.

A friend of mine bought one of the new Honda jets. Unfortunately, the windows leak, the body shows wrinkles, the brakes have a "clunk" sound, the door rattles, the steering wheel makes a sound, the windshield has an air noise, the pilot seat moves, the upholstery is wearing out too soon and oh yeah...it didn't come with a hood light or pneumatic hood opener.
What a piece of crap!!!
(I hope the dealer is honest);)
