Ok...dolls and guys.....this is my last new thread on this subject. I titled it thusly for newbies. :D

Those of you who are coming..and those who want to help us but can't..please keep this thread active!! Thanks.

If you are coming and haven't yet settled up for T-shirts and or RHOF tickets, you can do so at my PAY PAL account at cdcgraphics@cdcgraphics.com. Today would be greatly appreciated. :D
Admission to the RHOF is $14.75 and T-shirts are $12.00.
Disregard if the "check is in the mail".
Anyone wanting a commemorative T-shirt for the meet can purchase one at www.cdcgraphics.com and go to Our Favorite Website page.

Here's the scoop!!

I have to buy tickets no later than Noon today to get the group rate. We need 20 for the group rate price which we have. Just checking to see if we have any last minute newbies or members who have been sitting on the fence trying to decide whether or not to come.

Here are the details.

To all those who are reading these posts, but do not yet own a Ridgeline..........you will NEVER find a nicer group of Ridgelines & owners in one place than this group of people attending the ROC the RHOF! :D

This is the perfect oppurtunity to look at the truck we have all come to love, without the high pressure of a sales person.

We all love our trucks, and would love to show them off! I am sure many of us have dealer recomendations and buying tips as well, not to mention, in person, face to face conversations about Ridgeline ownership from those who own them. You will get to see most of the available accessories, colors choices, and how people have personalized thier rigs. Perfect for the soon to be buyer!

Had I not just bought mine, I would STILL have come, just to see the trucks, and talk to everybody about thier trucks.

So no matter where you're from, take a ride this weekend to Cleveland, and see some beautifull scenery along the way as UltraHog said. This is the time!

Not sure when it leaves, but you can take the http://www.lollytrolley.com/city.htm tour on Friday evening (if I read the schedule right!). The Great Lakes Science Center (next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) is a lot of fun for kids at heart!

Thanks so much for helping us make this happen TMac!!
Without you and your brilliant idea to start the best Ridgeline Club on the net, we would not have an opportunity to make new friends and get together like we will be doing this weekend. I only wish it was possible for ALL of us to meet!! Maybe some day. Can you just picture 1,600 Ridgelines in the same parking lot?? Takes my breath away!!

Todd and I sized up the situation yesterday and there is a perfect place for the group photo...but the problem is the museum will be open and people will be in the area. I suppose I could make a couple of signs stating "ROCK HALL CLOSED DUE TO HONDA DIGNITARIES MEETING" and post them until we finish our photo session!! :D
Which reminds me!!
I reserved the Quaker Steak and Damon's under Honda Dignitaries and their families!! ;) So on the outside chance someone gets there before me....you'll know what to say!!
Call my business line if ANYONE has questions or concerns.

all of you who couldn't make it are in for a treat - we all have our cameras and are taking lots of photos. As for midnight swims, "What happens in Independence, stays in Independence..."

:)

Dinner was great last night - I think all 3 wives had that "deer in the headlights" look at least once while Tex, Jaiden and I all exchanged interests, likes, dislikes, and of course, talked about our trucks. Conor and Benjamin had a great time w/ their Oreo shakes (if you haven't had one at Applebees, you haven't lived).

Tex is testimony to the ease of ride of the Ridgeline - he & his lovely wife, Sonia, made the 10 1/2 hr trip in one day and were looking great! No complaints about the ride and lots of compliments about the comfort. Anyone thinking of getting this truck only needs to talk w/ Tex to find out how great it is on long trips.

More later.

Thanks for sharing with us here. It looks like a great time was had by all!

Can you show us a close up pic of the badges and the shirts? I would love to see your handiwork!

Agree with others, I am totally clueless with identifying folks.

Awesome that you put this together JC, and awesome that so many could make the trip!

Thanks again for sharing :-)

What a great day! I don't think I have met a group of nicer people in my life!

I suppose I should explain about the fire truck :o As we were enjoying our lunch, someone (?) in the group had arranged to paint all of our trucks silver. The accomplice was caught red (silver?) handed. Needless to say, words were exchanged and chaos ensued. All available rescue and emergency equipment were brought in to keep everyone under control. :D

The convoy was beautiful! We all had our lights on and there wasn't too much traffic, so we really stood out! I did hear a comment at the Rock Hall, "Look at all those Hondas!"

Thanks so much Ladyridge! I can't wait for the next meet!

Looks like a bunch of people that are having a great time. I guess I'm not very good at guessing. The only ones that I have figured out from this and the other pictures are Ladyridge and Todd, and a few others that I could read their ROC names like Ridgeln, Nicholas and Ultra-Hog. How about some helpful hints?
I hope tomorrow if a great day too for the ones staying on.
I will post pictures with names tonight if no one from the group has any objections.
We did have a great time Web...one I will NEVER forget.

What a wonderful group of people I got to meet! The weather was perfect and it was a relaxing and fun way to spend the day.

Our son had such a good time with the other kids and he didn't want to leave. We weren't even on the freeway and he was fast asleep!

Our truck was unique, not because it was the only blue one, but because it was the only truck without accessories! Every RL looked incredible! I think everyone was blown away by what Nick had in his trunk! Did anyone get a pic?

The convoy was beautiful! We all had our lights on and there wasn't much traffic. I'll post some pics later!

We had 10 show out of 11 confirmed. Not too bad.

Tex's Ridge from Connecticut
Lorraine, a new member, from Illinois
Lingered_I from Maryland
UH from PA
Fins2theright from Ohio
Ridgeln from Ohio
Gretchen from Ohio
Jaiden from Ohio
Nicholas from Ohio
LadyRidge from Ohio

LadyRidge, just a small point of correction, isn't Fins is from Pittsburgh? I mean, we'll claim him as an Ohioan, but he's not really here.

No doubt it has been a great time. My wife said "I had a better time than I thought." We did get a few looks as people would pass by us on the freeway and when we would pull in en masse to restraunts & the Rock. It was great. But next time we'll need even more.

I'm home folks, safe and sound. Thanks again to everyone who came and participated enthusiastically! Especially, I and I'm sure everyone want to thank JC, Todd, Lauren, Eric and Drew; for their invaluable efforts and personal sacrifice for bringing this together. My wife and I had a very happy and personal experience. We both love our RL. Being in a convoy with nine other RL's was a hair raising experience, I had goose bumps everytime. I have to say, that the 10.5 hour drive each way, on the RL, was a breeze. After arriving, continued to party with Ridgeln and family, and Jaeden and Misty. The first time in my life that I have driven that long without feeling tired at all. I want to contribute my own test during this trip. I switched to 89 octane for this trip. I drove aggressively, maintaining an average speed of 77 mph, leaving everyone slugging along, biting my dust! My wife said she has never seen me drive so aggressively. Not one sighting of highway patrol both ways (lucky for me). Going was 20 mpg (still had 3/4 tank of 87 mixed). Going home was 22 mpg. The engine seemed to run smoother and effortless. No more hesitation. Had more umph. and at least gained 3 to 4 mpg more than running with 87. Do the math. I win.

Thanks everyone, especially J.C. & Todd, for a great time and hospitality. It was a blast. The trip back to Maryland was a blast too - lightening - 100ft visibility in torrential rain. The RL didn't miss a beat. 18mpg over 660 miles "cruising" at 80 - 85 up and down the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Not bad for a leadfoot like myself.

It's good to see everyone made it home safely. My wife and I went to the Brown's game after breakfast today. The weather behaved with only a brief bit of rain. We both enjoyed the weekend. Thanks again JC. Here's a few of my pictures. One is the group of us who arrived Friday night while at Applebee's, one is Frank learning a new trick (sorry Frank, I couldn't resist), there's a picture I took while driving around Parma Sat morning (think we all should move there?), then there is the group at the Rock with the Cleveland downtown, and lastly Tex (who decided there was an easier way to line up in the narrow drive we were all trying to park in!) Take care everyone, we'll see you next time.:)

A very special thank you to LadyRidge for all of the time and effort that went into putting this meet together for us all to enjoy. We all had a great trip and a great time. Getting the chance to meet other ROC heads was really wonderful. I am not sure if it is the Ridgeline, this ROC site, or both, that attracts so many great people and provides the catalyst to bring us together. It was simply a great time and a chance to meet and spend time with a great group of people. It doesn't get any better than that. For those that couldn't make it or those that are on the fence about attending a meet in your area, don't miss the opportunity the next time.
Oh ya, Hello Honda - Sales and Marketing - anybody home?? We managed to attract the interest of quite a few people at the restaurants and at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I spoke with a couple that expressed a lot of interest in the Ridgeline. They had not seen one up close before and after a few minutes were asking a lot of 'buying' type questions. If I was a Honda sales person they would be driving one today. For all I know, I bet that they visited a Honda dealer and maybe they are. They did get a ROC brochure. Maybe next year we could have the support and presence of Honda as we help to promote their product.
Here are a few more pictures.
:) Thanks again JC!:) We couldn't have done it without you! :)

My 2 cents -

this was an amazing time. For anyone who thought about coming, but didn't, make sure you mark down your calendars and go to whatever meet is close to you (close here is a relative thing - remember, Tex drove 10.5 hrs one way to come to this!). The people were/are great! I was blown away by all of the connections and similar interests that people had in the group. Maybe it is a "Honda" thing or a ROC thing - but it still comes down to a bunch of really nice people getting together and having fun.

My boys and my wife all had a good time "hanging with Dad's friends." Everyone treated my RidgeRats with love and respect, and I saw the same for LadyRidge's, Gretchen's and Lorraine's RR's. Thanks to all who came and treated all of the children as equals. I think THAT is what made me so comfortable with the group.

LadyRidge and Todd - you are amazing - and so are your kids. My RR's are STILL talking about them! RR#2 woke up this AM and asked if we would be seeing you today!

Tex and his lovely bride were awesome - even after that long drive to Cleveland, Tex and Sonia were wonderful (I doubt I would have been in as good of mood).

As for the numerous pictures of me - can I claim amnesia?

The pic JAIDEN posted of me w/ the key at my chin - not it isn't some drinking game (I mainly drank water this weekend - honest!) - it was me finding out about the "bone amplification" of the keyfob for locking or unlocking the truck from long distances. So I look silly, but I learned a cool new trick!

As for me being on the ground, and for the pic of my wife on my shoulders, I'll post both pics tonight when I get home from work. I've got a couple more to post as well.

We ended up the weekend riding the Cuyahoga Valley railroad - a 1.75 hr long railroad trip in the Cuyahoga Valley - BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I'll post a couple pics from that as well.

Driving in the convoy from lunch to the R&RHOF Museum was very cool. Seeing the looks from the drivers along side realizing that there were 10(!) Ridgelines going by was priceless!

Thanks again for a wonderful time, all!

DON'T WORRY BUDDY..IF I NEED AN ATTORNEY, YOU'LL BE THE 1ST ONE I CALL.

Actually....I made prior arrangements to have our picture taken in front of the ROCK HALL but someone forgot to mention it to security. When we pulled up in front and started parking our Ridgelines ( some of us driving on the side walk to get into position ) the security guard came running over and tried to stop it. I stepped up and said we had permission and he said who? I told him Steve and he said he didn't know a Steve. Then he turned and called on his radio to the museum to ask if Steve gave us permission. "OH"..I said, "I thought you said you didn't know a Steve?" LOL
End result......
You missed a great time lowrider90. next time, make the trip. See you at RIDGESTOCK 2006

Thanks for the info Tex. I might have to check into those. For those that didn't know, I picked up a nasty rock chip on the drive up, right on the edge of the front left wheel well. That trim would have been in the exact right spot! Oh well, as much as it pains me to see the Ridge hurt, it's meant to be driven! But Lingered_I came through for me with some touch up paint. He hadn't even opened it yet. I'm sure glad he had it because it rained pretty good the next day and I would've hated to have that spot exposed. Once again I'll say, what a great time!

I installed the model that looks like an "L" 9/16". Clean the edges with alcohol a couple of times and dry before applying the trim. Install, then cut to length with shears or hefty scissors.
