ok, wasn't really sure where to put this thread...it's camping and tonneau cover related.

My family and I have discovered camping since we got the RL, but because of the Roll N Lock tonneau cover, I'm limited to a certain height of coolers because the cover does not clear the cooler. We're really wanting the Coleman Extreme type coolers or at least bigger coolers. We have to keep the cooler in the bed of the truck and close the tonneau cover so animals can't get to it overnight.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Here's a suggestion you won't like, but trade it in for a Leer or ARE shell. I don't have those problems with my Leer shell plus it keeps everything dry and doesn't affect my gas mileage.

You could always store your cooler in the cab of your truck with the rear seat folded up at night. I haven't camped yet in my Ridgeline, but I have the OEM tonneau cover and have already noticed that my cooler won't fit under it. I'm thinking about trying to set the cooler on the tailgate with my bed extender to hold it in place and the rest of the gear will be under my tonneau. When I get to the campground the cooler will go in the cab of the truck, the bed extender will come off the truck, and the rest of my gear can stay safely stored in the bed under the tonneau.
