I suppose I don't have much sympathy when it takes no more than 30 seconds to log on and check to see if anything is up with gee I don't know... something they claim to be committed to coming to. Try being a little proactive and a send all who have shown an interest a PM linking them to this Thread. Some members are notified by e-mail when there is an unread PM for them.

Many who have said they're coming on the original Thread may figure they need to do nothing more. 63Tbird, for one. He checks in every 6 weeks or so. Luckily, Dan is sending him an e-mail.

Again, it isn't that hard to go online and check a forum. People who have unusual circumstances I am either already aware or have PM'ed me. A little effort on the part of the potential attendees (outside of the regulars) helps me feel like I'm not just talking to an empty room and quite frankly the discussion thread gave me that impression on more than one occasion. Lmao too true... there will always be those people. I have confidence that the people who said they were going to be there will let me know if they can or can't. It just means a great deal to me to see people actually acknowledge what is going on. An accurate head count is very important to the meets overall success.

Mike I will not be able to make it this year.
I am still having some medical problems but I am doing better.
I have only been as far from home to Baltimore in the past 6 months onetime.
I enjoyed myself last year at Swartswood & hope to do it again next year.
My plan for this year was to come up & stay the night at a motel then head back home early Sunday mourning. If I had stayed on that new bypass that was not on the Nav system I would have met with you guys at the Honda Dealer. I went with the Nav at that point & got caught in sometown in NJ local traffic. I did enjoy myself when I got to the park with you guys.
I have made a few long distance trips to Ridgeline meets St Louis Mo, Columbus Ohio, Long Island NY, Altoona Pa. & Swartswood NJ. I wont count the Cape May NJ & Hershey Pa meets they are easy trips from DC.
If it were not for this medical problem I would be at Swartswood again this year. Anybody on the fence about going its nice people that you will be with
& lovely place to be at.
Mike has a very nice spot in the park near the water you will enjoy yourself.

I will make this very clear right now, if 50% of the people claiming to attend do not reply to this thread in any way shape or form in the next ten days, be it good or bad news, I will heavily consider canceling the meet and that will be the end of it. I will not tolerate another 2008 and I will not be chasing after people to find out if they are coming or not. Don't worry man there will be plenty of us at the rally point. The biggest point of the rally location is so people who are unfamiliar with the area have an easy to locate landmark where I can then show the way to the park. We leave the rally point usually by 12:30.

I called Mikes cell number 3 times last year at this time.
I was running a bit late on my way up from DC & got stuck in local traffic in some small town in NJ. I then got caught in the local town of Newton NJ traffic. Then I got turned around once I got into the park I wen't past the entrance gate. Mike told me to turn around & comeback.
Have a nice time you guys sure wish I was up on that hill today.

Just got back from the meet. My family and I had a great time and met some wonderful people. Thanx Mike for hosting and Happy Birthday. Will post pics soon, will put them in another thread.
