Since it's already set up, I suggest the Phoenix Meet this year be at San Tan Honda on Sunday, October 3. The dealership is hosting a car show and it would be great to have a good sized contingent of Ridgelines show up. It doesn't matter if your truck is modified or stock, just show up and enjoy the gathering. I understand there are already around 100 cars (and a couple of Ridgelines) signed up for the show and the more the merrier. Please let me know before September 30 who from the ROC will be coming so I can let Carl at San Tan know how many Ridgelines to expect.

Bump to the top. Come on ROC members. I just talked to Carl at San Tan Hnoda and he says I'm the only Ridgeline truck entered. He's running out of spots and he really wants some more trucks. I know there are quite a few AZ trucks that can hold there own so lets show some ROC Pride!

BTW....Carl says they are having some pretty impressive giveaways, includeing a full custom leather interior, complete sunroof installation, car bra install and a number of other really great prizes. Plus he hopes to have one of the only 6 speed manual CR-Z's on hand for the show. I've got to remember to leave my checkbook and credit cards at home now, or I might do something I think is great but my wife will constantly remind me is not!

I understand. I wanted to be up in Santa Cruz myself, but can't swing the time off. That's also the only reason I haven't bugged Ron or Tony, I figured they'd be pretty wiped out from their drive.....Although having their two trucks on hand would make for a great Ridgeline Representation....not to mention Ron could probably get quite a few orders for his door sills and license plate frames for not only our trucks but other rides as well.

I think I'm planning on attending. I'm not going to enter the care show as my RL is basically stock, but I would like to meet some fellow Ridgies and check out Rusty's RL in person.

May just be able to drive by. :act030: We are looking for a CR-Z for a second car. We saw it at Disneyland, Innoventions, that circle thing by Space Mountain and the Autotopia, a few weeks ago and fits the "around town" need we have. We have a time set at with our sales guy at Tempe Honda so, who knows..

An unfortunate change of plans...I will not be making it to the meet on Sunday due to a situation at work that is gonna require me to go in that day. Have a great time all!

So far, me+1 will be attending. Cant say for sure, on break from work now, but could change, and I hope not. Tired.

Oh, reading more about it.. I will not be entering the show. My RL is a work truck, not show truck. If the normal spaces are full, nevermind me :)

Got the truck all cleaned and waxed, shined up the engine, detailed the interior and just got done polishing the wheels. So of course NOW the storm clouds are rolling in. Oh well, just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Hope to see a lot of my fellow ROCers at the show.

Qxtreem and Dist, it was great to meet both of you there. Veronique (The Cute One" also stopped by to show her support.

For everyone else, mine was the only Ridgeline in the show. I was entered in the unlimited modified category and was up against some very impressive cars. This was the first time ever I've entered the truck in a car show and I won third place in my category. I got a lot of very positive responsive from the crowd, but flat out, I simply lost to some better rides. I think I've got some pics of the cars I lost too, including one extremely customized green and black civic which I knew going in I was not going to beat. However, seeing the competition and how they presented themselves, with a little work I might be able to do better. Still, my first show and I come away with a trophy, not bad. From what I could tell, there were probably 15 - 20 vehicles in my category, so no complaints here. In all I think there around 100 cars (and one truck) in the show. My camera battery is dead, so I'll try to post some pics tomorrow after it's charged up.

Two things...the car that won 1st place for race modified was a Honda Insight....designed and built to run the Bonniville Salt Flats at over 150 MPH...and no, that was not with the stock motor. And I won one of the raffles, worth $250.00 for tires or wheels....which will work out perfect since I'll be needing a set for my 81 civic wagon, which is just about ready to hit the road.
