Here's the scoop:
We did great 1n 2005, with LadyRidge's and everyones else's help that was able to pitch in. See link below for what we helped do!
Click here to see how ROC can bring a smile to many children at the holiday time when it's needed the most (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3997)
Now I'm starting a poll that will be considered everyones pledge towards our goal in 2006! The poll will be anonymous but if someone does not make good on their pledge, have fun trying to sleep at night;)
I had an idea of a buck a week pledge, then ridged had a better idea to start a savings plan so it will grow interest! Below is what he and other members had said they would be in

I'm in! If a savings account is set up for this (to draw interest), I'll fork over the 52 bucks immediately.

I'm in and like the savings account idea. Now if we only had someone that had experience with T4T and a PayPal account? Hmmmm:rolleyes:
Great pics JC.

You could do nothing but give that little girl a doll. What a great Christmas she (and her mother) can now have.

BTW, I'm all in for the buck a week campaign.
Here's the deal
$1.00 a week = $52.00 x 100 members (or more:) ) $5200.00
.50 a week = $26.00 per year , etc.. etc...
If all 2000 members did the buck a week, we would have $104,000.00!
Imagine how many RL's we would need to haul those toys!
Of course we need a volunteer JC, any takers to set up the pay pal and savings account? :D

I'm glad we did this in 2005, and I appreciate all LadyRidge's work to make it so easy for the rest of us.

But... is there someway of spreading the contributions from east to west? I'm all for doing this again next year, but will likely spend more of my $$ on more local charities. If there was a way we could evenly distribute the year's contributions to Toys For Tots drives in more than one area, we might get more contributors here on the ROC.

Just a suggestion....

I would recommend 1 account, maximize interest.

Then come time to cash out, depending on the amount of money in the account, we could transfer money to regional ROC reps. Maybe 6 NE, SE, MW, S, SW & NW.

We could even look at areas that might have regional disasters and possibly channel a larger % to that area.

Just thinking out loud as we are still planning.

Whatever I can do...count me in!! :D

Woo hoo ! :) 1 day into the complete year ahead of us and we have $364 plus! in intended donations(per the poll):D :D
wow if this keeps up at this rate $364.00 per day x 365 days a year = $132,860.00! Heck we can buy 3.9 fully loaded RL's for the kids;)

Well, August is here... #note I most always wait till the week before to do my holiday shopping, but thought we could get a running start & perhaps give some of our 1000 plus new members a glimpse of what we all accomplished last year during the holiday season. Lets keep this spirited gift in focus:) ... Thanks...
JC, any more ideas on how to improve this year?....

Note - if you want to compete in the contest, this thread has to stop now. I know it's silly, but we all got disqualified last year for hyping up the contest too early. Seems kinda silly, but I understand (I guess).

If we want to just do good and forget the contest, that's fine too.

I think we could do well if everyone just starts thinking about the contest later this year and saving up now. If we leave it at that, we'll be ready when we pull the trigger later this year.

I know it's a silly rule, but we were going to dominate last year and once we got disqualified, the donations slowed down considerably. Just FYI.
