I do but only on VERY RARE occasions since I work for you (U.S. taxpayers) and it isn't appropriate to use gov't computers for such stuff. :)

I might use that one if I can twist it enough to make it applicable to my job. ;)

Maybe you can say that you are conducting research on a possible paint ball crime spree and RidgeLines have been threatened as the target. :D

I'm getting better. Only 2 or 3 times in a 10 hour shift. Used to be much worse in the early days (April May `05).

I'm on here all the time from work :D But I definately have to sneak, they monitor all Internet activity, so I have to use Windows XP Remote Desktop feature, along with a highspeed connection, and remote to my home computer (not monitored), then surf and read the ROC all day long

I did until I retired recently. But only at lunch!:D The government computers are a hell of a lot better than this POS dial-up I am stuck with unless I relocate.

I can only ROC at work. My home computer hasn't let me login to the ROC for weeks. Don't know why, have tried everything I know, all the obvious stuff....Maybe time to cancel that internet service at home!! No ROC, no fun! Oh wait, there's still online Poker!!!!!

I rarely get on the net at work because it's dial up. BOO. I don't hang out at the office if I'm not doing work. Every once in a while I get stood up and I don't have paperwork that I need to catch up on. That's the rare occasion that I might get on and take a peek. It's much more pleasant to surf at home on broadband.
Oops, I work from home too, so I guess I do get on the ROC while at work. I don't have to watch over my shoulder though. I'm the boss.

Assuming you mean on the computer, I do sometimes in between classes when I am not instructing or assisting. :)

I would if I could, but we are very, very limited as to what we can look at. But I'm looking into an aircard and will take the laptop to work and then I can look at what ever I want.:) :D

Occaisionally. Like most, my internet usage is tracked. But I'm sure I could twist it to a legitimate excuse somehow since I work for Honda!! ;)

Hmmm - yes... I do at work. Will I admit it to anyone else? Nope. Addicted? Probably. I try to limit my access to "lunch time" when we are "allowed" to use the computers for personal use (school teacher) - but as the tech guy/AV director, I can always say I'm testing bandwidth use and/or access to outside the district network.

When business is slow...I'll hop on the keyboard to check some of the threads. Other employees look over my shoulders and laugh, since I join ROC. I just brush it off, because I know who's going to have the last laugh.....Crap...got to go...Boss is coming over! :D

Yep. If I could figure out how to bill my ROC my hourly rate that I bill clients, I would be a lot better off.:) I could max out this truck with the amount of time I spend on here (perhaps TMac would like to pay my hourly rate? :))
Actually, I spend so much time on hold anymore with my suppliers I can normally work through all the new posts every couple of hours while I'm on hold.

YES I DO. Last week I had a meeting scheduled with a rep. and he showed up while I was reading threads. We ended up talking about the Rigdeline for about 20 minutes instead of the boring meeting topic.

CU, ooch. I hope you find some holiday cheer during your work duties. I know there are many people who are required to work for vital support systems or to simply satisfy those of us who don't plan ahead and allow more people have a break (c-store employees, for example).
I'm spoiled. I'm off until the 2nd. It's good to be the boss.

How Many ROC'ers are at work this weekend??
I'll be working my normal schedule which includes Saturday (my last work day each week) from 5 PM - 6 AM, and then I'll likely sleep away a good portion of Christmas day, an unfortunate result of working the night watch.

I got paged to come in and work Christmas Eve? But I turned it down does that count? But for the most part I work M-F 8 - 430, Holidays off. That will change after the new year as they are extending our hours to 5 PM. But it is overtime..... Great kinda like a raise.
