Considering a "Pull Bar". In need of pictures.

Please Help! I am considering a 'pull bar'. However, I am not sure which one, or what color. Not to mention, I am wondering if adding one of these will affect the airbag sensors or other crash safety features. I thought there was a thread on this before, but not sure where.

I really want to see some pictures of these installed on Ridgelines. Not just little cropped 'bumper shots' either. Real world pictures would be very much appreciated. And as always, I am open for opinions on this subject.

If anyone out there has photos or even links please post them here. I am leaning toward the Westin pull bar in black as shown in this picture. But I'd really like to see it on a Green RL first.

Thanks everybody!

One thing about those bars that you may not know. They are advertised as "no drilling" but you have to cut the cowl / shielding under the radiator to make the mounting points accessible.

I believe those are called bull bars. You could not pull much of anything with those.

Fins, just be careful and aware of the affect that they may have on safety.
Here is a post by Zero that says a lot.

Check out this thread. It is the same brush guard thst the previous poster referred to with his link.

I have to be honest, I recently removed my brush guard. After doing some research, I found that a brush guard can 'counteract' some of the crash safety features of the truck, including the airbags. I felt that it would be somewhat hypocritical for an ER doc like myself to have a brush guard knowing it could increase the damage to another vehicle/person quite alot.

I too want a Westin Bull Bar. In Black with the metal "so called" skid plate.
My opinion... The Bull bar is for looks.. has no real usefull purpose.
I have had 3 Westin Bull bars in the past... All were for looks and a place to mount aftermarket lights. I hit a deer in my Sport Trac... dead center on the Bull bar. It was a low speed... about 35 miles per hour. Busted both fog lights... the deer got up and ran away. That $300 investment saved me my $500 deductable... not to mention the repair down time and hassle. I have heard may comments about the saftey issue... air bag deployment... concern for people in the other vehicle... etc. If I mounted a bull bar on a brick wall at bumper height and slammed my RL into it... would the airbag deploy?...
I think so.
In closing.. I have searched the forums and saved several pics of Rl's with Bull bars. The all chrome... tacky... unless its on the soft green Rl.. then it looks good. The all chrome looks good on the Black RL.. but I believe the black Bull bar on my Black RTX.. with the metal spid plate.. is the way to go.
I won't post pics here of someone else's ROC RL with the bars.. but if you email me... I send ya the pics. :D :D :D
