How to install Sirius wiring

Hey everyone. I just got my Sirius Sportster replay yesterday and was hoping someone could provide tips on how you install the antenna. Right now I'm just sticking it on top of the Ridgeline like how undercover cops stick the siren up on the roof only when they need it. I have no idea where to start. I want to hide the wiring as much as possible, but have no clue how to get back into the inside of the truck. I just plan on using the FM modulator. It sounds just fine to me. Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

I installed that same Sirius radio in my Ridgeline. I placed the antenna on the corner of the roof just above the driver and routed the wire in the window channel and into the cab (in the door opening), then under the rubber molding to under the seat. You can't see it. Make sure you get all different FM stations programmed into your receiver. You will notice that depending on reception, you may need to change FM station to get a clearer, non hiss signal. Otherwise it sounds great. I listed to the Cafe station all the time...then I'm waiting for Howard Stern Unsensored!!!

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. I kind of thought about what you described, but then assumed that wouldn't work. I'm more concerned about messing up the truck than the radio, to be honest. I can't hurt my baby. :P Thanks again...and yes, Stern rules. :)

I just put my antenna on the middle of the dash and wound up the excess cord and stuck it in the top storage compartment that way the radio and antenna can both go in there when you leave the car.Mine works perfect on the dash.:)

I initially tried the antenna on the dash close to the front glass, but my reception was very noisey and a lot of 'hiss'. Once I changed it to the roof, I get a very clear reception.[/B]

Welcome to the ROC 420Girl. I must say, excellent color choice on the Ridge.

The best place, and it may require a pro. Is the third tailight on the back of the roof. It works as good as the XM antenna did on mine. a good shop can do it in an hour and have time to mount your cellphone. They charge 70 an hour.
