Anyone know what size the stock lug nuts are? I'l like to pick up an impact socket for it (my current selection goes to 21mm and that's a little small). Is it 22mm?

It's a loose 22mm so I'd recommend a regular hex socket rather than the 20 point variety.

Wow. Fast responses! Thanks folks! I searched the owners manual, ROC and the interweb and couldn't find that info anywhere. That's why I love the ROC!

If you have an RT and decide to change the steel wheels for the Ridgeline's aluminum wheels, make sure that you change the lug nuts also. The steel wheel lug nuts will fit, but will be too short and will not make the right contact with the axle. There is a difference between both of these.

I second that. It's awesome to have all these knowledgeable people connected and to have access to our collective wisdom. I have to admit to relying on others more than most for the wisdom part. . .

I realize this thread is old, but this is the closest one I can find to address my problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Bought a new RT with steel wheels last month. Got some alloy wheels from another ROC member yesterday, thinking the lug nuts were interchangeable. Apparently they are not.

Honda dealers in my area want anywhere from $4 to $5.58 for a SINGLE NUT for the alloy wheels. According to other posts, the RT nuts won't tighten down far enough on the alloy wheels. Otherwise, they must be the same size and thread pattern.

Any ideas on how to modify them or find a place with a reasonable price for the "20 pieces of silver" that Honda wants?

Thanks

I have an RT and wanted to install the Honda Alluminum Rims on my truck to replace the steel ones.

I bought my Alloy Take off wheels on ebay, and also 20 lugnuts for alloy wheels on ebay (yes they are differnt from the ones that fit the steel wheel, the steel ones have a plastic washer attached, the ones for alluminum have steel washers).

I paid 8.00 plus shipping for all 20 lugnuts. I bought 4 new valve stems frorm the Honda Dealer for the TPMS sensors. (The ones for alloy rims are shorter than the ones that fit on the steel wheels) They list for about 11.00 ea. but often sell online for 9.00 ea.

I had the sensors moved to the alloy rims and the replacement valve stem, screw and crush nut intalled on the wheel and TPMS sensor for 5.00 ea. The tires removed, mounted and dynamic balanced at Big-O-Tire for 20.00 ea. $100 total labor to make the switch.

Not related to wheels:

I also bought a 6 CD changer OEM head unit and installed that myself. Now I have kind of a 1/2 RT RTS. I will will buy the fog lights and hitch as money and wife permit. Maybe before the Sept. 30 meet in Santa Cruz.
